  1. One player doesn’t win you a cup. Just because he’s one of top players doesn’t mean he should automatically deserves to win a cup.

  2. He agreed to 2 years, no raise. He's now affordable for any other roster. He's not coming back for year 2. He's gone. NYR or LA.

  3. Connor is such an idiot. An avg team with high expectations? Why is this guy even playing for Edmonton if he thinks his team sucks?

  4. Hahahahahahahhhahahaha you guys suck and not fast looooool yall never had a chance won’t find that bc you suck

  6. McDavid took a cheap deal, so that the extra money could be used to build a dream team that wins the cup. That money was spent on Jarry, Bouchard's big extension and… ? I'm sorry but this might be on the GM.

  7. It’s time for Edmonton to actively start looking into trades for Connor. Would really kill that franchise if he walks for nothing in free agency. Wasting his golden years playing for a team in a country that can’t win cups…..

  8. We werent fast. All i needed to hear. Love you dude, so sorry about this playoff run, always a fan and sucks everyone was hurting. Hard to play a physical game when you cant be physical.

  9. You know what, I feel super bad for him because he deserves it so bad. But hey, took Ovey like 13 years to get it, he's got 2 more years before then, and there's ample opportunity to beef the team back up until then. At the end of the day, at least he's doing what he loves for a living, and also happens to be arguably the best at it. At the end of the day he could be Gretzky and still not win as it's both a team and executive effort, and if all that doesn't click then being the best won't cut it. Least he knows he pulls his own weight.

  10. Blaming the team when you did 0 all playoffs is a silly look. Yea the team was mediocre. But there are some good offensive players that managed to show up when McDavid was injured.

Guy should have benched himself if he wasnt going to contribute and let savoie run his spot. Thats not leadership, thats ego.

Trade Bouchard, get rid of Knobs, get the offense to LEARN TO SKATE BACK FROM THE OFFENSE SIDE NET TO BACKCHECK BEFORE THE PLAY HEADS THE OTHER WAY and maybe you’ll win a cup.

  11. it is evident even high quality player in team is not enough, and they loose, 30y of age is near and no Stanley Cup, horrible result, he should think about trade, looks old and devastated now

  12. McDavid: "I'll give up $$$ for you to help me win." Owner/mgmt: "No. We can have nice things, not you." As an Oilers fan I just wish he would call their obvious snub and just leave.

  13. Maybe it's good they got a long summer. Better prepared for next season. For the last two years, their summers have been shorter than a short Alaska winter day. They need rest, lots of rest! I can tell in so many ways. Anyone who thinks the Oilers won't be back next year, stronger than ever, may be in for a surprise! Stan Bowman knows the penalty killing stinks the high hell, so it's hard to say who the Oilers will bring in, but I think it's obvious to everyone who will not return. Especially the guys who failed miserably when they are short-handed. The Oilers have not had good penalty killing in a playoff series in a long time. That needs to change if the Oilers are going to go far in the playoffs next year.

  14. Skinner beats the ducks, Pickard beats the ducks, but you start the 2 worst goalies on the planet and trade away your goalie for the worst goalie in the league. The trade for jarry and not shilovs was highway robbery.

  15. What I don't like is that the Dallas Stars lost their series in six games, like the Oilers. And they also lost 5-2 in the sixth game, like the Oilers. The similarities are too eerie. I will say this. In order to chase away any sort of inside job next year by anyone or any group of people who dislike the Oilers (and there are many, obviously), the Oilers need to have a solid start and let everyone know right away they are back. Otherwise its obvious the on-ice officials and off-ice officials will screw the Oilers just like in this series. I can see all the people commenting now. "They were not screwed" etc. They were. Especially when they had a slow start like this year. And especially when banged up, really banged up like this year! So, it is obvious the Oilers have learned nothing from last year (2024-25). Their penalty killing is something they need to practice on and only practice on. It's their only real weakness. Getting the right players for this task will be the challenge in the summer.

  16. Fire Knob for a coach with emotions. Get better top 6 wingers who can do more than just hold on the puck for 2 secs like hyman and savoie. Younger etc

  17. He's never gonna win with Edmonton. His Cup run is over. He's gonna leave for a U.S. based team for sure.

  18. As a ducks fan who went to this game 6. I couldn’t help to feel for this man during the final handshake between both teams. He’s a phenomenal player and has a great team behind him who had all us ducks fans on edge every second until the last minute. Respect to Edmonton🤝

  20. Losing sucks. But these guys have played a lot of hockey in the last 800 days and it shows. Crystal ball: this might be the best thing to have happened to the oilers.
