@Oilers d'Edmonton

  1. The mentality of the team and fans thinking that they just need to get into the post season is just unreal. They were all healthy all year and yet still an "average team." To underestimate the other team is just arrogant.

  2. Same as Jarry he was solid for pittsburgh for along time but as soon as they got old and couldnt keep up his numbers declined

  3. I love Darnell but he has GOT BE #1 ALL TIME in causing "own goals". I have never seen a player come anywhere near him in terms of this stat.

  4. as a Canucks fan, I think Edmonton should do everything they can to go after Ian Clark. He stepped back from being our on-ice goaltending coach 2 seasons ago due to health reasons, but instead of promoting him to be our director of goaltending like most people (including Clark, allegedly) expected they just sort of sent him off to be a scout. As far as I know, his contract is up, and if you need someone to find you a random goalie that will end up being great for a season, he’s your guy. He could probably work with Jarry and get him to turn things around for at least a cup run, tbh.

  5. Team was trash plain and simple . Nurse is awful and grossly overpaid, Walman is overpaid, Trent Frederic is going to be an anchor, Ekholm looks to be slowing down . Nuge is good for what they pay him but was a no show . Bouchard had one good game and scored one big goal . Roslovic was invisible . Savoie was as well but it’s his first playoff . McDavid wasn’t McDavid like and was hurt . The two best players were Kapanen and Podz with Drai as the third best player this series. PK WAS AWFUL , fire all the coaches. Knoblauch is too timid and has the emotions of a potato

  6. I Know Ingram did Ok for the latter part of the season, but when defence fails you, a really good back up goalie cannot save your season unfortunately. They really need a true number 1 Goalie

  7. I’m relieved that the team can finally get a long rest after three years of constant hockey, 300 plus games for McDavid and Draisaitl will have an effect on them which is what we saw in the playoffs against the ducks.

  8. Tyler’s goaltending example is poor. Colorado plays team defense in front of the goaltending. I'd imagine if if Conor Ingram is on the Avs he’s much better.

  9. "they were one game away from winning the stanley cup" is such a sad thing to be this teams greatest accomplishment. RIP oilers, you got ducked

  10. We also have 0 1st round picks for many years. We are cooked. McDavid will ask for trade this summer. His wife hinted at it.

  11. Knobby should be teaching ahl teams . His calmness is great for young players who panic….. for older nhl players/oilers we need a coach that has some fire and emotion.

  12. Avs goalies are so good because avs DONT have a nurse and bouch playinf for them. They have good D. Bouch will NEVER win the cup

  13. McDavid is among 5-10 GOAT, but he’s objectively not been good in his last TEN PLAYOFF GAMES.

Going back to Game 3 of 2025 Finals vs Panthers?

    10 playoff games

8 points (66 point 82 game pace after elite 132 point pace in previous 92 playoff games!)

-15 (-123 over 82 game pace while he was +34 over 82 game pace in first 92 playoff games)

  14. The problem with goaltending is … when a goalie plays great, players start flying the zone and leaning more offensive and less defensive thus goaltending gets worst.

  15. Y'all should check out TNT's "Biz" postgame reaction (with him on the panel along with Hernik Lundqvist and Anson Carter and host) he pulled no punches and blamed this on management; namely the player turnover and lack of comradeship ie- trust and a bond among the group of players. Cutting ties with passionate, hard working players year after year and letting the coach shit on his depth guys while dogging the top guns is ruining this franchise. I hope Katz cleans house. Treat this next 2 years like it really is the last of McDavid by building, not rushing, for a championship team with or without him.
