  1. Goring said something important about the PP. Instead of starting up high start down low then work it back high if necessary. Seems to work for other teams and why don’t the Isles do more of that

  2. Organization must move on from Marcus Hoberg. When the brawl broke put vs. Rags farm club Bridgeport bench was yelling at him to go and help his teammates. He shook his head no. Bad teammate. Not like he is small either. KEN BAUMGARTNER was a really fun guy.

  3. Matthew Schaefer's speed has played a big role in OT, and Barzal is having another good year. Thank God (Hashem :)) that he's ok after last year's injury

  4. gil i have a trivia question maybe you know answer to…if and when shaeffer wins calder…and if Sorokin wins vezina…when is last time a team won calder and vezina in same year?

  5. Rollercoaster once again. 3rd time we are down 2+ goals to zero, and turn it around since the Olympics alone. 49 shots proves we want to win it, and keep trying. We had a 44 shot game versus Boston, that we lost, and it was nearly the same here, but as you put it, we found a way to win, everyone pulling and once again the youngsters Ritchie and Schaefer pulling us back initially, especially Schaefer has been responsible for us getting back into these games. It may not be sustainable, but it gives promise of our future being bright. I already look forward to our transition even if we are still fighting for a Stanley cup this season.

  6. Great Come Back! The team tends to be resilient which is different from the past. We are still not assured a playoff spot so no letting up as every game has major implications. Jumping to next year I really want to see at least 2 prospects given a chance to make the team. I would like to see Aitcheson with Pelech. I would like to see Eklund start on the 3 rd or 4 th line. We must get younger! If these guys are competitive and not out of place let them bring their talents if they can make the team. Not sold on resigning Lee, Tony D, Shabby…. Soucy I am considering if we can rid of Mayfield. We need younger!

  7. I had class until 8:45 but I at least got to watch the comeback! I have to say these islanders are resilient! Also very deadly in overtime. Only thing is in playoffs it’s a different format in OT, being back to standard lineups so I wonder if it will carry over.

  8. Schaefer is such a power plant for this team! His skating and hockey IQ and personality is charging this entire team. I see a “C” on his jersey in the future.

  9. On the Blues 3rd goal, Palat looked hurt after blocking a shot and was slow to get up and back into the play from the corner, which left the Blues’ Snuggerud open and by himself in front of the net to Sorokin’s left.

  10. The never say die attitude is great to have as a team culture. However these OTs wont work out the same in the playoffs as its 5v5. They need to end games ASAP. Not OT, not late in the 3rd but take over the game in the first if it’s there for the taking.

Needed 2 pts and we got it

  11. what a weird game. when they were down 3-1, but were outshooting the blues like 40-18, i kept telling myself "trust the process, i guess". then suddenly it's 3-3 and we're dangerously close to winning in regulation

  12. i wish we had more poetic goals. that heineman breakaway on the habs two weeks ago would have been poetry had he scored. same with schenn last night

  13. Instead of saying "we're done" when we were down 3-0 last night, apparently I should have said: " Don't worry, we got them where we want them!"

  14. Nice win. Strong comeback to pick up two points. But do we have to act like Sam Rutigliano's Cardiac Kids Cleveland Browns all the time? Every time I watch this team, i'm thrilled, win or lose, that Schaefer and Ritchie are always in the lineup. Let them take their lumps, make their mistakes, and learn from said lumps and mistakes. I'm always gonna be worried about not having a police man for Schaefer and the TOI he's racking up thus far this season. A cause for concern for me, but i'm not the one writing the checks.

  15. I turned it off when I thought it was 4-0. Then I turned it on about 2 minutes into the 3rd. I saw the score and knew the 4th goal was disallowed. So, I stuck around till the end. Nice to have our announcers on a national broadcast.

  16. was nice comeback win. but they cant keep going down 2-0, 3-0 and expect to come back – certainly not in the playoffs. i agree with you – the defense once again was terrible (both d-men, and o-men not backchecking). i wish i could be a fly on the wall the next day at practice and see what coach roy says to the team when showing them the video of the game and its terrible defensive play. well they salvaged the 4 game road trip with a 2-2 record. they have got to play better though if they want to make the playoffs.

  17. Yeah, all the know nothings who wanted Kyrou and were so willing to give up so much to get this overhyped lack of effort player were just shown why we never should have wanted him. Watch his game, that passive lack of effort in his game defensively on the Barzal goal isn’t a one off it’s literally what he does game in and game out. Thank god we didn’t trade for him.

  18. Good 🌅, Gil. How are you? The cardiac kids have done it again. At first, they looked like they weren't going to make it, especially after giving up their 3rd goal. Patrick Roy was right to keep Ilya Sorokin in goal. JG Pageou scored the first goal, Cal Ritchie scored twice on a PP , then Barzy the GW GOAL IN OT. WELCOME 🏠 BRAYDEN SCHEIN. The Islanders broke even on the road trip. Hero, Barzy for the GW GOAL IN OT. Hear from you later, Gil, but before I go, I compared Billy Carroll to a Character from The Godfather and Yellowstone. From the Godfather, it was Al Neri for his quiet grit. His HOLY 🐮 MOMENT came when he assisted on Trots' shorty. Trots' was considered a legend at only 24. From Yellowstone, I compared him to Rip Wheeler for his grit and determination. Now, LGI 🏒🔵🟠
