Just gonna point it out, every game the Flyers and Carolina played went to OT once and 3 shootouts. This'll have the BIGGEST chance to go to 7. But how the Flyers are playing, I believe they can, a team playing with house money and nothing to lose is a deadly one. Flyers in 7
We are playing with house money. All the pressure is on the Canes. If we win a few games ill be happy but fully expect Carolina series win. Should be a fun series!

Series was 1 goal away from going to 7 dont think Flyers beat them soundly. Konecny didnt get suspended for crosschecking from behind with intent on Crosby after the game or kicking Rust with skates on. Guess you missed those. Canes in 5

I have a ton of respect for what the flyers have done this year and i do think they will be a true top tier contender in a year or two. But i just don't see them getting over Carolina. I think in a low scoreing nothingburger game, the canes just have better finishing and will be able to squeak out the extra goal or two. Canes in 5 but i see every game being a 1 goal game.
Predicting a sweep is borderline disrespectful
Coming from a Penguins fan, Vladar will steal one game if not two for the Flyers alone if he plays how he has been playing, or he plays as he did in the first round. The question really becomes, can the Flyers muster any sort of offense at all to keep up with the Hurricanes, because unlike my Penguins, their offense won't go silent into the night and just be a complete no show. Also, one thing to really watch out for is how the Hurricanes may score most of their goals. Vladar did give up a lot of rebounds, and we didn't cash in on any of them. If he gives up as many rebounds as he did to us, the Hurricanes will score four or five goals in almost every game. For the Flyers, just keep doing what they're doing, muck it up as much as possible. I just don't know how this series will be that close because at this moment, the Senators are a better version of what the Flyers want to do. At least that's what I think, and they went without almost any fight.

I think if any lower seeded team can beat the canes I think it's the flyers, since the Olympic break they have one of the best records

Am I loopy? Did they not mention Bump? I know it's a small sample size, but Bump looked like one of the best Flyers in his two games.

I absolutely understand what Steve is talking about, this series feels like if the Flyers do not come out and score early, they're going to get dismantled just like the Sens. they have more talented goal scorers on their top end than the Sens which is normally GREAT… when you're not playing a team like the Carolina Hurricanes who'd love nothing more than to sic Jaccob Slavin and Jordan Staal on a top line.
I think that their barn will be behind them enough for games 3 and 4 for this not to be a sweep, but the Flyers could only force overtimes against some very injured Canes squads this season, canes in 5.
Also, with both Svech and Zegras in the series, this is the most likely we've ever been to see an actual factual Michigan goal in the playoffs.

Had to look it up. I'm sure the Pens crushed the Flyers in shot attempts, but for actual SOGs, PIT was only +4 for the entire series.
The Pens had more SOGs in 3 games, Flyers in 2 games and they tied in one of the games.
I think Dangle believes PIT significantly outshot PHI bc the last period of the series was quite lopsided in favor of PIT
