It’s great to have him back in the organization after so many years where we rarely saw him.

  2. Grim_Henson

Make him President of Hockey Ops you cowards.

  3. Psyop to make us stop talking about how ass Chayka is

  4. I still have one of his jerseys from the 2000 season. Let’s see if I can still squeeze into it

  5. The_talking_tree

There’s not a lot of optimism around this FO, but I am happy to have Sundin back. It does sound weird looking at our history and realizing how little alumni were involved with leafs management

The fact that the wife and kids are moving show a long term commitment. This is a cerebral man who will be a sponge. I had quit Leafs and SN. Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in.

  7. TObias416

Hopefully he can teach Matthews how to win.

I don’t get the risking of his reputation , fandom and lore on this group. I love mats but what has he done to be qualified has the man of hockey operations.
It’s bad enough we had him in a Canucks jersey beating the leafs in a shootout.

And Chayka ….. I don’t get how yo give the keys to the biggest franchise in hockey to a guy who hasn’t proven himself at anything

I really wish I eat these words, only time will tell

We will never win the Stanley Cup.

As a leaf hater I approve this message. Makes me have some respect for the leafs

A cheap PR move by a brain dead ceo. Mats is better than this.

  12. Patient-Educator2720

Top 5 worst decision made by this franchise!
Not just bringing Mats back. That’s the cherry on this shit cake

  13. Maximum-Register-758

Not the move we wanted – or more importantly needed – AT ALL.

Temu Kyle Dubas and Sundin, with Pelley on top.

Could be the worst leafs era ever coming up.

  15. Pizza3TimesADay

Please, please, please Toronto media, please don’t run Sundin out of town in two years.

  16. Barking__Pumpkin

He doesn’t believe in trading players mid-season. October until the playoffs.

  17. Chillieboy29

Guess everyone forgets he refused to waive his no trade clause and now needs to talk some players into doing.

I see some Harold Ballard years on the horizon.

  18. Winter-Squirrel-6744

Sundin is the last greatest captain the Leafs had.

He’s played with some of the toughest teammates and opponents, he’s been coached by some of the best, Pat burns, Pat Quinn.

He’s gone deep into the playoffs and has also been a professional! You remember when willy gave the camera the finger, or when Matthews got jumped. That shit never happened in the Sundin area.

I’m not saying things are suddenly going to change, but Sundin is living legend. If the teams needs a culture shift, Sundin could be that guy that points them in the right direction.

I wonder how many people are celebrating him being home when they spent years criticizing him, his play and/or not waiving his no trade.

  20. Foxtrot_Uniform_CK69

I’m getting a warm fuzzy feeling, I don’t know what it is exactly, could be cancer or joy as a Leafs fan, I don’t know this feeling
