@Flames de Calgary

Allons-y. 1. i think they are both wingers too.

    I think Mason McTavish would be pricey and perhaps not be more than a 2nd line center.

    A guy I might like to see them target is Nate Danielson. No guarantees there either, but he might be pretty cheap and a low risk high reward gamble.

  2. I can confirm the only trades you could possibly see would be draft positional wise up or down.

    If Coleman is traded it will be next years deadline at the earliest. Conroy plans to use Frost at number 1 center next year and see if he can take the next step.

    If the Flames win the lottery its McKenna if they draft 4 or 5 its Carson Carels nothing to debate.

    Malhotra is a poor mans Monahan
    Beltchz is Greg Nemisz 2.0
    Lawrence is Tyson Jost 2.0

    I believe Conroy will move up if Morozov is on the board. Ive watched him play and he is exactly what Gridin could use at center. Pugachyov is another Russian Flames should look at as well.

    in two years new barn a line of

    Gridin-Morozov-Pugachyov
    Size and skill
    Morozov just missed 27 draft hes that good as the youngest player in the 26 draft

  3. I don't think I bring in McTavish if I'm Conroy, I think it would cost more than the Flames would want to pay for a bit of a project player. I think there would be too much pressure on the player to perform and, I would rather see our young guys develop an identity for themselves and self build the new core. I like Malhotras chances of being a first line center more than McTavish in a lot of ways. It was his rookie season in the CHL, he started a little slow too but all year he has just got better and better, what does he do in year two? I would assume put on size and work on his first step explosiveness. AHL after his second season in the OHL, graduates to the big club for the 2028/29 season if not getting looks in 2027/28. Not saying he's going to be a Celebrini, but maybe 75% of a Celebrini and with a strong 2 way game! And then hopefully the Flames get to draft Alexis Joseph next year. I think by the draft next year Joseph is the number 1 on most scouts lists. Dupont would be incredible too but I think if anyone has that chance of being a real special center at the NHL level, it's going to be Alexis Joseph.
