Hard to be too mad. Showed some real grit not just throwing in the towel, and honestly I feel so much better about our chances after seeing tonight. This is far far from over.
We’re missing our best center and best shutdown D.. this series is just getting started folks, buckle up. Lots of reason to be happy even with a loss.
15 goals or 1 goal doesn’t matter. Just one game. See you on tuesday. A split in colorado would be huge
IM NOT GIVING UP AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU.
Almost every Colorado goal came off turnovers. We CANNOT turn the puck over against this team, they will punish us much more than Dallas
They’re beatable
6 goals against the team that allowed the fewest in the regular season, on minimal rest against a well rested opponent. Yeah, it sucks to lose, and it sucks to give up 9, but the Wild had very little time to shift focus to Colorado, and are obviously missing a couple key players. All things considered, I fully expected a loss in this game, so to put up 6 goals makes me feel more confident about the rest of this series if the team can make the necessary adjustments.
Insane game, this will be a long series. LGW
Snort that hopium

Spurgeon and Middleton looked lost out there tonight.
Plenty of series but the team has to settle this down and play their game.
Genunely insane game 1. I don’t think game 2 will be anything like it
Yeah dunno. It’s one game. Weird to see Wally get beat like that. Haven’t seen that since before the Olympic break.
Can’t win them all. They had 8 days to rest and train. Onward to game 2, may the best man win.
Man it is crazy how much better the Avs look than the stars. There’s such a stark difference in how NOT dirty the Avs played tonight. I hope that lasts the series, not being pissed about dirty shit makes the game so much more enjoyable (even when lose a game)
Alright you can’t give up 9 and hope to win. But you also can’t be giving up 6 and expect to win. On to the next one.
Up 5-4 and got outscored 5-1 the rest of the way. 😔
Fever dream ass game
Next game is a must win. This Colorado team is very beatable, and I still like our chances if we can go back to Minnesota with the series tied.
The loss sucks, and you have to feel miserable for Wally. But also, I think this is a game you just flush and try to move on from — you’re never gonna have another playoff game with 15 goals. We showed some great resilience and we’ll be alright; on to the next one.
The unironic “Wallstedt sucks” comments are truly braindead
He didn’t have a good game
He probably won’t get game 2
But we know he’s a good goalie lol. He just played his ass off in a playoff series as a rookie. Give me a break.
WE ARE NOT SUCKS! WE ARE NO MILD! WE CAN WIN THIS! LFGW!!!

Missing Jimmy and Ekker a lot
Well hey we scored 6 in both game 1s so far
Hell of a game, team never quit despite being down all the time.
I think that the rest disparity, missing Ek and Brodin played a huge part too.
Ah well, we proved we can hang with them, on to game 2.
Its. One. Game.
Please don’t overreact
Casuals are going to blame Wally but the loss falls far more on our defense and special teams
If we can’t keep up with their pace and figure out how to score on PP then this is going to be over quick
We can hang with them, but it’s going to take a lot
Wally baby girl I still love you
Really need Kaprizov to « take over a game » like Boldy and Hughes have.
I’m not mad about this outcome tbh I think under the circumstances this is showing that this is going to be a really competitive series. I hope the team gets some really good rest and comes back super ready for game 2
Too many doomers here
Anybody else catch 1C Boldy in the 3rd period there? Is a 1C already on the roster? 👀
