@Oilers d'Edmonton

😬🏒 #EdmontonOilers #NHL #StanleyCupPlayoffs

  1. The biggest mistake isn’t the contracts it’s the NMC And NTC attached to them….. why is a boat anchor given that, usually you don’t let someone with that much money have both those things when they aren’t Mcdavid and Drai calibre

  2. McDavid wouldn't have cared if nurse went to Toronto. He doesn't need nurse it's drai that we'd be worried about.. .

  3. There was also nobody available, and nobody to trade for. Don't forget Nurse was a physical beast and still is. We also traded Taylor Hall for Adam Larson

  4. Biggest mistake has been goaltending 🥅 by a mile, just a slightly above average goalie would of given them at least one cup , yes Nurse contract is bad, every team has one 1️⃣

  5. The worst contract ??? Actually is the Bouchard contract, bridge 🌉, he walks in 3 years, by then 1-2 Norris , 1-2 100 point seasons, no way oilers can pay him, didn’t learn from us here in Calgary with the Tkachuk contract, exact same thing 😢

  6. no money$$$ because of him…. he is useless player now; he been oiler too long (same as RNH); No other money to get other players; stupidity of management contract work; NEVER pay anyone that amount anymore… He needs to be traded; bad bad mistake; The NHL should be paying based on performance…. never guranteepay out until you can prove your worthiness and this NURSE is that problem .. He playing in wrong pro sport. He should be playing basketball, base ball etc.. but NOT hockey

  7. Yes, that is true. But remember Seth Jones also set the bar for Nurse's contract and we know where that went. That extra money could've gone to enticing Hellebuyck here instead. 🏆🏆

  8. You're also forgetting that it was the market price for Dmen that summer and most importantly…..

If Covid hadn't created a stagnant salary cap for almost 4 years the 9.25 would've been much less harmful. If the cap had continued going up it wouldn't have been a problem.

Now, this isn't to say I like it agree with the contract but the reality is that COVID is by far the biggest factor in how harmful that contract has been

  9. Nobody talks about the Jack Campbell contract and buy out. Now we traded for Jarry and his massive contract. We are being run into the ground by losers.

  10. The single biggest mistake the Oilers have made since 2020 was picking Xavier Bourgault over Jesper Wallstedt, who is currently playing Vezina caliber goaltending as a rookie in Minnesota. And not only did we not pick that goalie, we traded with Minny to drop back 2 spots from #20.

We literally handed the Wild a franchise goaltender while we play musical chairs at the position.

And on top of all of that….the player we picked instead is a massive bust and will never play in the NHL

  11. He isn’t a 6M D, he is a 5-6 D on a good team. He can’t move the puck, always in a bad positions defensively. A D with no brain. I would pay him more than 1.5M. Spencer Statsney is way better than Nurse.

  12. Keep Connor Brown? Too Expensive!
    Keep Corey Perry? Too Expensive!
    Keep Evander Kane? Too Expensive!

No, No! Let's Save that money for Trent Frederic, Tristan Jarry, & Andrew Mangiapane!!!

  13. The issue is nurse has to agree for a long term deal when he was younger. Maybe he only wanted a bridge deal until he had a good year to demand more money. It's not that easy to say other options were available instead of the bridge deals. We weren't in the room. Holland had to juggle cap he'll in those bridge deal years too

  14. The biggest mistake is thinking EDMONTON was in a championship window. They were garbage before the drafted McDavid and they have garbage throught his tenure. If the entire Western Conference didnt lay down he would be lucky to have scored 200 goals. THANK GOD HIS 1O YEARS IS UP…THE LEAGUE IS ONTO NEW BUSINESS AND FINALLY BETTER HOCKEY

  15. How Mach better is this team without him period ! 6mil come on he isn’t worth near that . I wouldn’t pay him a dime to play

  16. At this point the fans will send in our own money to buy Nurse out and send him as far away as possible. It's the least we could do to help out McDavid who is the one directly paying Nurse's contract currently. The record breaking discount Connor gave the Oilers was only necessary because of Nurse. He's basically the team's equivalent of a union slug, he's being paid for 9 hours but would be Lucy to produce 3 hours worth of work. The rest of the time is spent hiding, sleeping, and complaining. Nothing would make me happier than seeing Nurse in a Leafs jersey. Infant if they offered Leafs Nurse jerseys for sale at the next Oilers game I bet they'd outsell McDavid jerseys.

  17. You are 💯 correct!! Nurses contract is the worst in Oilers history!! Bar none!! Terrible defenseman, and can't score!! I think even if the Oilers have to eat a 3 mil shitcake to get rid of him, they gotta do it!!
