Rangers hardly need any more bottom 6 forwards – they have plenty of those.
Problem is too many bottom 6 quality guys have been getting top 6 ice time.
Marchment looks like a qualty ad, but he's 30… how does adding him while trading Trocheck make the team measurably better?
No problem with Fort starting next season in the AHL – guy is getting better and could mature there.
The Rangers have too many bottom 6 players. There are no studs on the market. The best player for the Rags is to go into next season letting the kids play. Dont spend the cap space now only to be handcuffed the following season when better players are available.
Don’t we have enough bottom six players??…….there is nothing wrong with what we have. Play them. Don’t waste money on redundancy…….
Its a “rebuild”, let the kids play for a full season, do not trade trochek schneider, lafren, or anyone els. Wait until next year for free agents. Makes nonsense gojng for bottom six guys, we need top six and defensive help. Id wait a year, lets see what the younger guys can do in a full season. Then go from there. Making the playoffs and losing in the first round, is just dumb. The following year the cap space will be even better, and more fa available.
