Worse Burns game in a while

Burns and Blanky (heated Blanky?) line was rough defensively

If you can win a game where your goalie is -3.1 in goals saved above expected, that’s huge. Similarly, you were able to weather no Manson and no Makar/Malinski for a period each which completely fucked up the pairs. Feels like that one was a game Minnesota had to have.
It’s not really reflected on here but for Kulak to step up and play 25 minutes without Makar/Malinski and not give up a goal was massive.

No surprises in the chart here. Burns/Blanky were tragic, third line bad. Adjust, hope we get Manson back for game 2, and gear up for the next one.

Lot of rough spots last night, but when you win a game like this, it’s confidence boosting all around. While Wallstedt may not recover during this series; he was absolultey shelled.
Considering the 3rd period was a 0-0 reset and we won that period 4-1, with their 1 being a fluke, that is definately something we can build on moving forward while Minnesota may be thinking, what else do we have to do to beat these guys after putting up 6? I think they will tighten up and we’ll see a more scoring subdued series from here on out.
