Deep statical analysis says they scored more in their first 3 games.
Too much dump & chase on offense. Too many high flips out of the zone on defense. Need more controlled exits and controlled entries. That simple.
The Penguins figured it out but it was too little too late. Hurricanes get to impose their will on the Flyers from the beginning and there is very low chance Tocchet will be able to have the team adjust.

The offense has been up and down all season. Tipps being out definitely hurts the offensive production. Let’s hope Tyson, TK, Port, and MM start playing as best they can.

Regardless of how this series goes, I think Tocc and the rest of the staff need to figure out an offensive gameplan for what to do when they actually have the puck. Feels like nobody has a plan for when they have the puck in the Ozone.
Figure that out and maybe we’ll avoid droughts of scoring 5 goals in 4 games.
We’re also #2 playoff-wide in goals allowed per game, and since defense wins championships, I’m riding with that. (Of course it sucks that we’re playing the team that’s #1 in that stat, but every winning team has obstacles to overcome…)

They’re hurt and they’re outmatched. Maybe they can find a second gear but against this team it’s a tall fucking task
Their passing hasn’t been nearly as crisp since games 1-3 vs. Penguins. It felt like they almost never turned the puck over in those games, but since then the can’t seem to complete a pass especially in the neutral zone.
These stats are always so fuckin stupid. You mean to tell me they scored more goals in the games they won? Interesting stat, hope they read this off on the broadcast tonight
