  1. Nurse A can't be traded as he has a full no movement contract and B he's one of McDavid's OG's and won't be traded until McDavid leaves

  2. Sending Jarry to the AHL leaves you with 1 goalie, so now you gotta resign Ingram or another scrub, there goes that 3.8m you saved by trading Nurse, and less picks. Fantastic strategy.

  3. Trading for an overpriced defender from Alberta worked so well the first time for the leafs in phaneuf so im suprised they didn't go for it

  4. Nurse isn't going to move unless someone takes his whole cap hit and doesn't ask for the moon.

Because if he is moved, you have to replace him, and that will cost you $5-6M for a big defensive defenceman that can skate. That's the market, and that's what you are looking to replace him with.

If you have to significantly sweeten the deal, you are using up valuable trade pieces that you are going to want if you are freeing up cap space. If you retain salary, you're going to end up spending as much or more to fill the same d-man slot, possibly with a defender who has more issues, is slower, and doesn't add the offence Nurse can.

Most likely move I expect is an exchange of problem contracts. Sometimes a new start can reinvigorate a player. Could that mean a move like Nurse to Toronto for Reilly, or NJ for Hamilton?

You never know, and there are plenty of players who aren't performing as hoped when they signed big contracts. And just because fans in Edmonton have issues with Nurse doesn't mean the people who know the game agree with those negative opinions. Just look at how down Toronto fans were on any number of players who went on to play key roles on Cup winners and contenders, such as Larry Murphy, Phil Kessel, and Jason Smith.

So I think the expectation that the Oilers are going to believe they have to pay whatever is necessary to move Nurse is shortsighted and unrealistic. And if a deal happens it could come out of the blue, with a surprising return.

  5. Just get a 7th defenceman and put Nurse on the wing as a forchecking powerforward capable of 20-25 goals 💪😎👍

  6. It should be noted nurse didn’t do one interview at all following this series. Not one post game after game 6 and not even an exit interview more importantly. I think it’s been already communicated to him that they are shopping him hard this offseason. It’s almost unheard of for an assistant captain not to participate in those things.

  7. Nurse will win lead the league in hits and blocked shots next year. watch, he'll get 15 goals too.

  8. Nurse to the flames for Huberdeau is the only real trade i see happening and huby might hit numbers closer to when he was with barkov

  9. Would’ve could’ve bs…. The Leafs would’ve took him and his trash contract and edmontons boys club chose differently… Oh look the leafs goy the number 1 pick😂😂

  10. Nice clickbait ffs…I find it very funny Oiler fans think they will get anything for Nurse. You will have to give a team something just to take Him and retain salary. Problem is Oilers dont really have many pics/prospects to work with so i just do not see it happening…

  11. Hey! Typically a Flames fan here but was really hoping this would be the year for McDavid.

They gotta dump Nurse. He's literally a pylon and average on his best days. Definitely NOT worth 9.25 million a year.

  12. They should have saved the first round pick they traded to Chicago to use it in the offseason or next years deadline. Team was never winning

  13. One consistent thing about this channel. They are top notch at creating clickbait videos and they don’t ever know what is actually going on. But they work hard at it. They put out a useless video every day.

  14. Sorry boys, you picked the wrong guy with a letter who will be going to Toronto, McDavid will look great in Blue and White (and no assets lost either)

  15. Trading nurse is the same knee jerk idea of trading Skinner. Unless theres a move for a goalie with him and its substantial, i dont see the point.
