Have to face reality, this team will need to go into a rebuild eventually. Might as well start now.
Building the arena downtown makes it so I don’t want to go to any games.
You know this team is ass when NER is texting in Asking for change. Fans aren’t stupid unlike you 2 on the show
The texters are COOKING you PR shills 🔥
I've been up and down on this topic for quite a while. You know with obviously the last 2 or 3 years of the Jets right? And right now they're at a quandary like do they rebuild or do they carry on with the core? And I think they got to run it for at least another year or two depending on of course you know. Hell about you know wanting to stay. And you know if he feels is the team isn't going to be competitive like they were this 25 26 season. Yeah I don't know of another year or two. You know continues to have another year like this and not like the the previous. You know presidents trophy or the year before that where they were a very good defensive team. I could see him wanting out and I couldn't blame them. You know just like wheeler said. I remember that there's only so many years that you have for window to could be for the Stanley cab and that's everyone. Player's dream right to get the Stanley Cup and lift it. And if hella Buck feels that Winnipeg isn't going to be his opportunity, you know I could see him asking for a trade. You know if if anything like this year goes into next year and they don't make the playoffs again I could see him wanting out and and you can't blame him. You know like you said he's won the Olympics. He wants the cup and if he goes he's called Connor. Next you know and I could see shyfully staying and being a lifer I really can and then probably going into management of some sort which is where I feel taves needs to go. I'll become a coach and I think you know he's such a good teacher. If he can't you know Pete and put in a good year cuz last year must been really frustrating for the poor guy up and down right? And then hey, where did the Jets go right? You know if hellbuck wants out well then you know there's a lot of you know trade potential but really what it goes down to is this first round pick 8th overall in 2026. As much as it pains me to say, I think they need to trade it to get like a second line center though and compete for the next year or two and then again if it's in the next year or two the team isn't well then we will know with Morsi contracts. What's going on and and then obviously that will determine if the Jets are going to be like the Vancouver Canucks selling off talents for youth and draft picks. So but yeah I see you this summer being dangle at pick. You know if it gets you something really good like organizational needs like a second one wine center. Yeah I would do it so often. I haven't agreed with Jim on on that. But yeah after the hell of a comments and you know seeing obviously the players desires to be on a competitive team then. Yeah they need to run it for another yard too of trying to compete for the the cup and trade the player. I mean the pic
Jim and Cam love to talk about how bad a rebuild would be. So, since none of our young players seem ready to jump in and contribute, I’m still waiting to hear how they think the Jets are going to avoid one. Do they think teams choose to rebuild because their fanbases really enjoy losing?
The Three Stooges!
Going further on the Jets training this first round. It's the overall pick in 2026. I see the leaps in being in a quandary too, right? With winning the first overall pick. They're pretty well guaranteed to choose Gavin McKenna right? And and then build around him and then I can see them trading a lot of the old core like cuz even I've heard William nylander said if the team isn't going to be competitive. He's not staying for rebuild and I don't know where Austin Matthews is but I'm pretty sure he's in the same boat too. They want to win the cup and so if it's with other teams and it's with other teams. And you know you even hear the rumors of Toronto trading. You know one of those. Actually, I think Matthew knives to San Jose for Matthew miza. You know San Jose and then who knows what the you know. They could even trade this second round pick that they won in the lottery is probably up for grabs too if they get a very good piece. Like could you imagine everything overall pick and say maybe you know Michael, Misa and and maybe another you know prospect or a player? You know I could see that occurring you know. So could you imagine celebranie and Matthews together? It's just like having Mitch Marner but a bigger Mitch Marner with pizzazz and you know Matthew's molding celebrity. I mean who's already a great player already you know is just finishing a second year in the league. But yeah so I see the the Leafs in kind of a phase where I think because of the winning the first overall pick and also because of you know last year too and some of their players probably possibly wanting out. That's you know the Leafs do they run it back another year or two and and again if they don't make the cup. Sorry the playoffs 2627 just like the Jets are they going to be selling at the trade deadline? And I mean selling? I mean selling four pieces because those players want out because they feel the timeline's over for those teams for Stanley Cup success, right? It's one thing to just lose in the first round the playoffs. But if you're wanting to win the cop, you need to be on a team that's going to go more than just a first round exit or or even just waiting one round. So yeah I can see that. And again, this is a change of focus from me from like 6 months ago, even a year or two ago where I was thinking I don't know of course getting older and they need to sell off before they won the Presidents trophy that year before they signed schaefeline hell about I was on the go that they should trade them and start rebuilding not realizing you know that obviously they wanted to stay those players and then they won the cup or on the prisons trophy Cup. So and one you know one round the playoffs and it's just they faced a really good Dallas team. He got some timely goals from ranton and one hat trick and then the other player. I can't remember grandland's you know had a hat trick too that basically won those two games for Dallas and take those two away. And if the Jets won those to the Jets win four two and not lose four too. You know it's Dallas so yeah this is going to be a big summer. And yeah I would definitely be dangling that's eighth overall pic as much as I regret saying that cuz I sure didn't think that in December and January but but yeah they need to move that pic
