  1. This is not going to be easy, not a big free agent market this year. I just hope they don't trade the future for players that will not pan out. They have nothing to lose by putting some internal help in the line up. Going to be some tough trades and cuts to make before this team can compete in today's style game.

  2. Rome wasn't built in day. 5th worst overall last year.
    Tear down.

    Added piss and vinegar. Improvement

This year speed and skill now that some of it is ready with Hagens and Providence players.

Was this the plan all along ?
    Sounds like it to me

A mixture of both. Not always doable all at once.

  3. I think its systematic with Don and Cam. Grit, then skill. With that said they need a Right shot D and still will build from the goaltender and defense on out but NEED a 1C. Its a hard task but they need at least one of those 2 this offseason.

  4. Another great video. I think the Bruins are caught in 'no mans land'. While they would undoubtedly like to build a contender around core's window (ie. Sway, Pasta, Mc), there are simply too many holes to fill. Unpopular opinion perhaps but I think they should stay the 'retool/rebuild' course, hold onto their assets, and build through the draft. I'd explore unloading all of Mittlestadt, Zacha, and Lohrei in offseason for younger players and/or futures who fit that speed/skill profile. Time to promote and build around the youth you do have who can fill roles – Hagens, Poitras, Lysell, Brunet. Maybe contenders again by end-of-decade. However I think management over rates the present roster and will make short-sighted trades dooming them to mediocrity for a decade plus.
