Major need, as we saw so often last season, are Top 6 forwards who can score.
How Dreary and Sullivan figured the Bottom 6 is what we need is beyond comprehension….problem was Bottom 6 quality eating Top 6 minutes.

Ranger fans are really down on the scouting department, but I actually am of the opinion that Lilley & staff have done a great job drafting in the later rounds because Dreary was busy trading away draft picks for guys he thought would push the team to a cup & didn't. So I'm not totally surprised about Farhammar excelling after being drafted in the 7th round. Laba & Lamb were both 4th rounders, Mancini a 5th as was Aspinall & then you have Roobroeck, Chmelar etc. Othmann & Perreault were 1st rounders. Othmann had 21 goals in his rookie year & then was jerked around by the Rangers who destroyed his confidence. Perreault was a brilliant steal.
