Except for the fact that there’s no chance Vegas would
Have kept him “at his worst” for nearly a decade

After making the finals in their inaugural season they immediately traded key pieces when they lost, the leafs would have held on to the core 4 until they were well into their 30s

I’ll fully agree that Marner was “done dirty” on multiple occasions

but he was also given every opportunity imaginable to shine and could have gotten more chances if he had simply asked

All he had to do was sign for the same cap hit during the regular season, give some speech about how much he wants to win here and even that would have been enough

Leafs nation may have a lot of problems, but it also has some of the easiest fans in the world

Much of the frustration is based on the fact that he dint do that or request a trade instead just walked to free agency

It doesn’t matter. Ppl have to let it go. He couldn’t perform in Toronto, was best for both parties.

Well yeah he’s playing fuckass anaheim. Where was this while playing real times like prime florida, boston and tampa

  8. Very happy for him, always one of my favourites.

And love to see this subreddit continuing to be unable to stop talking about the Leafs.

I don’t think there was ever any doubt in was the Leafs and not Marner

  10. It’s almost like we developed him into the player he is today over 10 strong years of NHL hockey. Lol. Could it be? 😄

Holy shit the oilers really were trash this postseason. wayyy too much hockey for those guys, watching mcdavid carry all the regular season games made me really worried this exact thing would happen, though even i couldn’t imagine a r1 exit.

as a leafs fan, go Marner, I hope he does fabulously

He’s not that good actually. It’s because he is playing with American legend Jack Eichel. Matthews elevated Marners play, and now Jack is elevating his play. Marner needs a great American player to play well.

Do we really need to make a post every time he has a good game? Good player has a good game how shocking!
