Carolina didn't have real team to play against! Easiest two rounds! We will see what they are capable of when they face Habs or Sabres! Even then I think they are not nearly as good as Avalanche!

Canes fan here. I’ve been hesitantly optimistic each round. Sabres and Habs are both great teams we didn’t beat the Habs once this season and went 2-1 against the Sabres. The Habs losses all came after December 31st.

The Canes did use 2026 first for Miller. So basically for Necas and Drury the Canes got Stank, Hall, Miller and a 2028 First round pick. Also there were some other 2nd round pick swaps between teams and Scott Morrow to Rangers in the deal with Miller.
Carolina obviously has a great coach, scheme and plays polished hockey. That comes from practice. "Time off" will probably be more practice and prep time..

The Flyers, while overmatched, and were a team that struggled most of the year, but made the playoffs. They were using 4-5 rookies with less than 20 game NHL experience in that series, yet they took the Cains to over time twice, and possiblY could have won those games and made the Cains not look like a such a beast. The Cains are good, coordinated, supportive of each other, and play 4 lines at top pace, but they will have to do this game after game against bigger, quicker, and more talented teams. I think they have the stuff, but let's not get carried away by them at this point. The Bruins were supposed to kick ass in the playoffs last year , right?

They look great. That said, Ottawa and Philly are not exactly murderers row. Both very flawed teams. The metro was the second worst division in the league this year by top three teams behind the pacific obviously. They have not played a true threat yet. It does help that there is no Florida or Tampa in the way but Montreal looks more than ready for a fight and they actually beat Tampa. I expect it to be the Habs in the eastern finals.
