Small chance that stenberg is left for the canucks, but I hope he end up in shark. They will be loaded for a few years 😀
US teams win Cups consistently because od the Canadians playing on thier rosters, yet Canadian teams and Media are always pushing for European and American to play on Canadian teams and nothing against Swedes and Americans but until Canadian teams smarten up on the concept of Canadian born players, being drafted and playing in Canada you won't be seeing a Canadian team winning a Cup anytime soon
also until thier titles have been announced we have zero idea what roles the Sedins will have so there's the possibility they dont even get a say in who the Canucks draft, nothing about them and possible positions have been written in stone and are nothing more then media speculation
People still put WAY too much value in the different nationalities of players! I seriously doubt Peter Forsberg would have been a better player if he had been born in Canada
McKenna is better for pure scoring. Stenberg is more well rounded than McKenna. McKenna had shown no interest in playing in the East. Rumor is McKenna wants the Flames the most, but if not prefer to stay in North West area. Leafs are justified to get Stenberg. McKenna is better for Auston Matthews as a winger, but bro might still leave either way, so Leafs cannot plan around Matthews anymore.
If McKenna falls to 3rd to Canucks, he is better pick than Malhotra. All scouting reports say so. But, how set is McKenna on playing for the Flames? Is Bedard secretly planning to return to Vancouver eventually as hometown hero to bring the Cup here? Or is he very happily staying in Chicago? Bedard and McKenna probably talked about this.
Will Canucks trade for 4th or 5th pick, just so they can take both Malhotra and McKenna/Stenberg? How set is Malhotra in playing for the Canucks?
Stay tuned!
Craig Button also said that Canada would beat Sweden easy in U18. Craig is overrated, people only like him because he sounds so sure, but look at the results. McKenna has a better offensive potential, but Stenberg can be used in more situations, Stenberg is also more mature.
Ithink.the Sweden player will go second or third stenberg
you are trying SO hard to manifest mckenna to the casucks. chayka is canadian; so everyone we draft has to be canadian right??????? the fact you are using seravalli as a source speaks wonders.
72 is a leaf cope and seethe.
I don't think Canucks pass on Stenberg if he's still available
Stenberg is better then McKenna but North American bias as per usual 😂
McKenna’s comparables are Crosby/McDavid/Celebrini. That’s not the comparables for Stenberg.
Kyprios already discussed this. Sundin is getting his feet wet he won’t insist on his views taking precedence. He didn’t want to take a seniority position like president for this same reason. He’s learning on the job. Toronto will go by the opinions of their scouts, Leach runs that. Chayka also discussed his opinions on who selects the pick and he said different managers have different approaches. He also said he has been tracking McKenna for years. Stenberg is a “look at my great season prospect.” McKenna has more than dazzled nearly every hockey situation and season including breaking records in international competition.
