Left its helmet fourteen years old alone to move to Finland to play " Hunt Down Men " … he not only made it there, but he thrived there.And he taught himself three different languages.Then, he moved to germany alone again by himself.Playing in the men's league top line minutes everywhere he goes.Putting up nice offensive minutes.He skates great.He's big he's a wrecking bull, violent.Hitting machine and he's got a nasty one timer shot a nasty slap shot from the blue line.He's just gotten amazing shot.And we need a defenseman that has that goal scoring shot from the blue line, which we haven't had in forever !¡
He's also the most NHL ready Player of all in this draft!!! Carson Carles is NHL ready probably too …. but in terms of players that come to new york and can't make it …. ALBERT SMITS is a player that you can't miss on … in terms of players cant hacking it in NYC from there small hometown !!!!

If Stenberg is there at the third pick Vancouver won’t definitely pass, if he is isn’t there and If Vancouver does pick Caleb, no one is expecting him to be a 1c at all he would most likely slot in behind EP40.
It feels like every draft that passes the Chicago Blackhawks move one draft spot down
They had the first overall pick in 2023 then the second overall pick in 2024, then the third overall pick in 2025 and now the fourth overall pick in 2026
This is now becoming a pattern
Depends who is available. Reid would be a no-brainer. Otherwise, good arguments for Malholtra or Carels. Some people are still gung ho for Verhoeff.

It makes mistakes sense for the SHARKS to Trade picks with CHICAGO ….. CHICAGO can give much more and better prospects/ picks then Vancover can and there still guarantee at the very least the #2 D man on their board if not the #1 D man depending on who Vancover were to take if any ???
I wish Sharks would trade with the NYR ….. #5 pick & Brendan Schneider ( young established big 6'4" 220 pound RHD , HITS , Runs 2nd unit PP, Fast Skater, Reliable, barely takes penalties or mistakes, has some offense to his game and could have more given the opportunity more !!! )

Stenberg if available, don’t think he or Malhotra will be available though. Probably Reid or Carels since they’ll be available and seem to be the consensus best D available. Would be happy if they traded the pick in a package for a strong established young forward as well.

Moving up HAS to be in consideration. They have 3 2nd picks . They already have an awesome farm system. Why not just try to land that ONE great player if he's there for them. I also think they can get a decent player at 4.

I think they trade down to get a piece for right now.
There are several options almost too many which is a good thing.
This involves a LOT of homework by the GM and scouts.
This relies a LOT on who they THINK they could get and based on their homework trading up or down and imo they SHOULD be considering a trade package.
There are a few players with offensive upside but likely a second line ceiling but hey that is a great start for Chicago to improve so if trading down they could net 3/4/5 potential second line prospects.

If I can trade up obviously Stenberg or imo Chase Reid is a killer pick.
However early this season Chicago had some success imo because of their solid defence so I do not feel that is the problem.
Chicago was last in the league for shots and that is sexactly what I saw when I watched a few games.They also need like every NHL team a real coach someone who understands how to teach players to drive the net with pucks n bodies and teach D how to pinch up keeping the cycle alive and removing passing lane options from the other team.
Canucks are taking Malhotra . They love the Kid plus Malhotra's Dad is the Abbotsford Coach so they have known the Kid for Years
