Good morning Dèjan, Matthews isn't turning 29 just before the start of the year, say a deal is made for him….how many prime years would the Penguins have left with him? I believe possibly 6, that takes him to 35 years old. He's also 13+$ mill for two more years. I remember on Double Shot a person bringing up Robert Thomas, to which it seemed you weren't interested, but he's only 26 years old, only 8$ mill for 4 more years, is a premium set up man, and is an excellent 200 ft player. I also believe what he could learn from playing with Sid for the next, hopefully, 3 years would only improve or tweak his already impressive overall game. I would sure hope that Kyle goes after Robert Thomas, if there's a choice. Either way, Kyle sure threw out a carrot in front of us to chase until or if he does make a move, eh!? Matthews got everything he wanted in his contract, term and money which was more than expected and fewer years than expected and some wondered if that was the reason.
