    This one was a Gorton misstep, although we desperately needed more physicality on the blueline at the time. Pionk turned into a really solid defenseman, and we hate life right now.

    I honestly have no idea what comes next. We need a healthy roster, a surprise UFA to hit big, and two rookies to make a substantial impact. Ain’t no trades gonna make us better with the assets we currently have.

    Hated that they traded Pionk, I liked him a lot. He wasn’t a number 1 guy like he was basically asked to be but he was good. Him over Trouba and the Rangers probably beat Florida in 2024

    One of the mistakes Gorton made was trading away Pionk. Could you imagine Pionk and Fox as the teams RHD’s if Gorton didn’t make that trade. Big mistake
