The biggest factor for me has to be that Ruff not trusting his goalies. I don't see how you win a series after switching goalies twice
Edit : To me, Caroline is overated until they prove they can win an actual playoff game. So far, they have not faced an actual playoff team. We have no idea how they will react to adversity and boy will they get to experience a whole new experience if they face Mtl

I think the Canes are hoping the Sabres move on to the next round. The Habs are 3-0 vs the Canes this year outscoring them 15-8 with 2 wins in Raleigh. The Sabres are 1-2 vs the Canes and was outscored 8-9 and lost 1 of 2 games at home. Pretty sure neither one of the teams will get swept by the Canes.

Habs fan here. Tage is a great player. He's def playing hurt. He's pissed out there as he can't do what he normally does.
Carolina has NOT won a game in the regular season against Montreal, so winning only one game is ludicrous… and Anderson is not that good, so… They have not had a good test yet in these series (Boston and Philadelphia), I'm hopeful for Montreal, maybe not as much for Buffalo.

if the series goes 7 games the hurricanes are losing next round. team has been sitting for 2 weeks meanwhile buffalo and montreal are playing fast physical hockey carrying that momentum into the next round
