  1. The Canes didn't blow us out. Two overtimes. The Flyers had a lot of injuries. I'm not sure Carolina is equipped to win the cup.

  2. Flyers should be proud of themselves. But changes are needed. Play all the kids next year and see what they got. More size is needed. Too many lost battles along the boards. Coots and Risto played their hearts out but it's time to move on from them. Please release Hathaway. Andrae and York are way too weak in the trenches. Michkov needs to get his act together this off season. TK is not untouchable if the right deal comes along. Maybe by some miracle we will have a PP next year. Thank you Vladdy for an amazing year!!

  3. I don't know the particulars of TK's contract but he's horrible. Constantly misses open chances-even breakaways.

  4. Michkov needs to move his feet. That’s why he was scratched. You can’t just glide around out there. You gotta work. So tired of this conversation.

  5. I’m not impressed with Michkov at all. He’s a fucking inigma. Always has been MARTONE has shown more promise in a handful of games then Michkov has in two seasons.

  6. Funny thing, even with the Canes being a better team and built for the playoffs and all that stuff… if Phillys PP was EVEN JUST DECENT, it's a completely different series… series was much closer than those scores indicate. Vladar is a fucking stud!!!

  7. Michkov is going to be a great player. Hopefully for the Flyers. Those calling for trading him are very shortsighted. Let's not make another Patrick Sharp or Sergei Bobrovsky type mistake.

  8. Carolina is way better and so hard to play against, even with Tippett and Cates. Are the Flyers going to consider trading Michkov or are they just sending him a message? To me, at this stage, you can't play him against a team like the Canes…he is horrible in the Dzone, he will turn the puck over and there is the risk that he takes stupid penalties….unless he improves his all around game his liabilites overcome his offensive skills. I'd give him one more season to work on his weaknesses and if he doesn't make progress look to move him.

  9. Everyone has to let this Mich stuff go. In order to make it in the NHL you have to skate. Michkov is a horrific skater. Luchanko went in because he can actually skate. This is all on Mich. I don't think he realizes how he has to prepare to excel in this league. This isn't the 70s. He has to prove it to himself before he can prove it to us that he can succeed in the NHL

  10. And they hit the post a ridiculous amount of times and tippett not playing one guy was absolutely frustrating because he does make a big difference when he is in with his size and speed…he was banging everyone in the penguins series missing him really hurt

  11. Not having MM out there felt more personal than anything else. His level of play in the previous game didn’t feel any better or worse than what he put up this whole offseason (not saying he had a great offseason either). It would have been nice to have him get the experience of having his back against the wall in a playoff series but it just seems now that it’s a coach who didn’t want him out there waving his stick in thanks to the crowd and it doesn’t allow the fans a chance to applaud his efforts of the second half of the season…which is something he certainly earned.

By that same token why didn’t Toch sit TK if that is the case; guy played like runny dog shit since the Olympic break and clearly is not a big game / end of season player…At least MM had a good end of season run.

  12. I am sorry but I see this team taking a step back next year so they can take two steps forward. They should trade Risto on draft night and yell at me all you want but they should atleast inquire what teams would be willing to give them for Tippett he is by far there greatest trade chip they have.

  13. It’s time we rest regarding our expectation of Michkov. We were sold that Michkov was the second best player in the draft behind Bedard, clearly he wasn’t. Michkov is not going to be a super star,

  14. Last year, all you people couldn’t stop talking about michkov “this kid is great” and all that crap. But now all you same people are like “we gotta trade him” he had one bad year… you guys have put way to much pressure on this kid to be great… and that’s a problem because if he does get traded, he’s gonna be great wherever he goes because there isn’t any pressure on him…Mackinnon didn’t score more than 20-25 goals for like 4-5 seasons… my point is this kid isn’t gonna automatically be great not everybody is a Macklin Celebrini… if all this pressure continues, it won’t make him sign again and then wherever he goes, he will be great and all the blame will be on all of you

Facts im spittin bars over here

  15. Michkov has been handled like shit this season.
At this point I wonder why Briere picked him.
The Canes play incredibly good hockey and it took them years to get where they are.
They Flyers just got back into the playoffs and they scratch one of the most talented player they have on roster like they can afford to.
Tocchet and his style took a beating from Carolina and not because of Michkov.

  16. I think the Dvorak signing has shades of Kevin Hayes all over it. The one year deal was fine but 5 years on top of it is a bad signing at the wrong time. He’s 30 and call it what it is, he’s Tocchet’s buddy.

  17. Okay, so Michkov wasn’t good against a juggernaut canes team. I think you can make more of an argument for Michkov then against. When you’re playing on a line with Cates or Barkey, how far do you go? Not allowing Michkov to redeem himself is nonsense.

  18. “He lead the teams in points” but leaves out with only half the minutes of all other players. Whatever.

  19. You know what… i said it earlier and now it makes sense. #TK11 should be the topic of the summer. How many pucks have gone in since 2020 playoffs with Giroux? He copied and leaned his game. So we have another Captain decade flip flopping to the playoffs. Get TK going. Bring in someone like his cousin Horvat. Jumper cables maybe…. they are in my back seat of my POS KIA from the last time they were in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010. Yes. They should always try to bring in players with TOP talent.

  20. The future starts today. Get healthy, get stronger and get your heads straight and work on the things you suck at.

  21. I have to wonder if it is worth trying to move Michkov? He's so young, and everyone seems to think that his ceiling is very high. I think that there is evidence that he can be creative in space, and we all know he wants to score. This is very much a player that I understand wanting to give time to, develop, and hold on to. However, I also wonder if he will ever be a 200 ft. player. When I watch him on the ice, he largely skates around avoiding the dirty work looking for the right moment to spring towards the net. He is currently worthless on the boards, and he doesn't check hard. Personally, I'm not done with Michkov, but I do wonder if his game will ever fit in Philly. I think there are some systems that can afford to have a creative offensive player skate around hunting 50-60 goals a season at -15. I don't think Philadelphia is that place. Flyers hockey is blue collar. It's gritty (see mascot). The system that the Flyers look like they have been building under Torts and Tocchet requires that everyone skates their asses off end to end and the players have to be willing to mix it up with opponents on the boards and that are bigger than them. Some of this system the Flyers have been building is because of the personnel, but it is also the Flyers Way historically. So, I just wonder if Michkov could ever reach his ceiling in Philly and maybe the return he could bring would help the team more?

  22. wasn’t that good of a save imo— Hathaway can’t beat ANY goalie.
not just skilled ones. Only goal that dud has was handed to him by tippett on a SHORTHANDED goal
