Why do you call it “Ten Takeaways” and not “Deen’s List”

This series is going to go as Makar goes. It’s as simple as that

We need Makar. Torts has lit a fire under them and Marner/Hart especially are playing out of their minds.

Colorado dominated statistically.they need to make the rapists life a lot more difficult and it’s fine

I know our past 2 times through to the WCF we’ve made it look easy, but it’s not supposed to be. After sleeping on it I have confidence our boys will tie the series on Friday.

1. Shooting needs to be better. Almost everything last night was either center mass or 5 feet off net. They made Hart work very little last night despite the amount of shots.
LOC beat him and hit the post and his two most difficult shots ended up being goals. Everything else was either right at him or a screamer past the net.
2. Blue line possession cost the Avs multiple offensive zone opportunities. At one point I wondered if it was the ice because the blue liners couldn’t seem to keep anything on the tape when it mattered.
No one played great, but Burnsie was noticeably bad in this game.
3. What’s the point of center depth if you’re just going to get smoked in the dot all night?
The Avs were 43% on faceoffs and only Mack had a % above 50%. Landy was right at 50%
This absolutely has to be better. This allowed VGK to set the tempo more often than not.
4. That being said, Malinski and Lehkonen hadn’t played in a week and a half, this team has a propensity for looking disjointed after long breaks and even with all those things listed above happening, spotting them 3 goals, and missing Cake Makar, it was still a one goal game with 2 mins left.
As you get further in the playoffs, mistakes become magnified and more costly. Letting in soft goals to a guy who hasn’t scored in 5 years, not hustling back to prevent an empty netter, passes not beating the first man in the offensive zone, etc.
Glad to see Nate absolutely livid in the lockerroom last night, he should be livid. They all should be.
I expect a very different Avs team tomorrow.

Let’s be honest. The team got proper humbled last night. As much as I can see, they looked weak defensively against an opportunistic team. The confidence to win may be there. But, there are a lot of guys on the first 2 lines not producing. They need to wake up. This team needs to reach another gear.

I have noticed a carelessness in passing to teammates that aren’t there.
If they’d have a championship of just possession and passing, we’d be champions at that.

You give up a bad goal in the playoffs, you are probably gonna lose that game. They’ll be fine

I was frustrated with the amount of dumping and chasing last night. Just didn’t feel like most of the attacks had any purpose. I’m pretty casual when it comes to Hockey but just my observation!
