Watch while you Canadians over react
God that would be great …
How do you pay Bedard even close to 10 million. The kid might be a bust still.
14-16m is low balling?
ep,forty > for > bedard (str8 up)
😂 typical Vancouver cope
then how about Trading him Elias Pettersson, send him home to Vancouver.
come home to the nucks
Ooooh a canucks news outlet saying Bedard hates the hawks….i have NEVER heard that one before…😒
Canucks should make him a offer sheet for $20 million for 8 years
😂 I can see the stupid trade ideas now ahahaha Vancouver gives EP40 with Salary retention and the 3rd pick in the 1st round to get him 😂
it’s negotiations, this is how it works
With the cap going up so much so fast, I am shocked the NHL players aren't acting like Marian Hossa or the NFL players and taking bloated short term deals. Bedard should ask for 2-3 years at $17.5m, and then go into the next negotiation with an even bigger salary cap and try to be the first $25m player. (I say $25m because I believe McJesus will get $20m in a year or so from someone who's not Edmonton).
Why would Bedard be worth than more than $14 million?
I've said before this season Celebrini will be the generational talent that Bedard was projected to be. Think how much Celebrini will make on his next deal then subtract a mil from Bedard and that should be his value.
He hasn't even come close to 14… Wtf….. Earn it.
Gaffer and Pagnotta are your sources? Yeah, that makes sense.
Let’s talk when we hear something from Friedge or Frank. Dave’s so hot and cold when it comes to his info.
It’s negotiations. They bring him an offer, he counters, they end up meeting in the middle. Figger it out. He ain’t going anywhere
Bro needs to learn to play defence. He’s -14 in the last 10 games. -98 in 3 seasons
Bedard need to be minimum 17m a year to match Kaprizov
From a negotiation standpoint, wouldn’t it work in the Bedard camp’s favor to drive up the price as much as possible? From a winning standpoint, wouldn’t it make sense for Chicago to strategically get him for affordable as possible, especially down the road, so that they can build a solid team around him? Does Bedard want to win and be remembered as a hero forever or does he want to just make as much money as possible and be forgotten and wipe his tears with millions? We will see won’t we?
No. There are absolutely zero credible reports or rumors indicating that Kyle Davidson or the Blackhawks are lowballing Connor Bedard.
The internet chatter regarding a potential "stalemate" or "resistance" is entirely about contract term and structural leverage, not Chicago trying to cheap out on the money. Both Elliotte Friedman (32 Thoughts) and David Pagnotta (The Fourth Period) confirmed this week that money is not the issue. The Blackhawks are entirely willing to pay premium, market-setting dollars.
Bedard is like the next Johnathan Towes
He's not exactly lighting up the scoreboard.
Do people enjoy listening to irf? I think he’s a terrible listen. lol
Come to MTL, we will gladly have you play with Demidov like you were supposed to.
Bro just knows Hawks aren't in a good position given how many picks are flopping. He's outta there, deal with it Hawks fans.
Disaster
He is a small little boy, who is a liability. You ultimately need to pay for Bedards overpriced contract, and a muscle man’s contract to protect him. It’s a big choice when you want to pick Olympic teams with men, who push. Not little boys like Bedard who get pushed. Bedard is way overrated
It's easier to score when other teams don't take you seriously.
Hold out for free agency, Connor! 🤞😂
Why would Bedard be worth more than 11 million, he hasn’t shown that he has, 14 -16 million is insane
Why would Bedard want a long term contract when the cap is going to keep going up. 16M for 4 years is where I would want to start if I was him
