First off…congrats to the Canes, they out worked and out played the Canadiens!
Having said that, there isn't any doubt whatsoever that the first Canes goal wasn't goaltender interference! it was a "no brainer" call the refs/NHL flat out got wrong! One has to wonder why? 🤨
The Canadiens must have felt this was "open season" on running Jakub Dobes!
Even the ultra bias TNT commentators were saying that goal is coming back due to goaltender interference! They were all shocked at the announcement of it being counted!
Unfortunately, that ruling changed the whole game! It took the wind out of the Canadiens sails! You could see it in the demeanor of the Canadiens! The "spark" was gone and the game was pretty much over at that point! Nice call refs or should I say NHL video reviewers! 🤢🤮
But that isn't why the Canadiens lost the series!
Quite frankly, MSL got out coached and he got schooled in how a coach prepares his team and how to counter what the other team does on the ice. After game one, the Canes came out prepared to counter the Canadiens offense that worked so well in game one. MSL did not respond to the changes the Canes made! The Canes out skated and out hit the Canadiens all series long and MSL did nothing to counter that! MSL's biggest mistake was not playing Arber Xhekaj! The Canadiens needed Xhekaj's size and toughness in the lineup! To me MSL mishandled Xhekaj the entire season! The Canadiens also missed the tenacity Brendan Gallagher brings to the team! The Canadiens needed some of Gallagher's never say die attitude!
MSL should have at least tried something but he didn't!🤦♂
However, the Canadiens had a great year! No one expected them to play the way they did, and I do credit MSL with that!

Arber xhekaj "toughest guy in the league" played first two series "They won". St. Louis didn't let him play a minute in this series "They lost" badly. They needed tougheness for Dobes, and the grit for the rest of the team. As a hockey player, you don't know how much it matter for someone to have your back.

Играш брате сваку Плеј оф утакмицу као да ти је то последње у животу. Не размишљаш ни о чему. Као да ће сутра Роуси испалити САРМАТ пројектиле на све стране тако да ти је све неважно осим те утакмице коју то вече играш. Зашто није играо Џекај? Једину утакмицу коју су у овој финалној серији добили – дибили су с њим на леду. Видели смо далеко више глупости на плочи у претходним утакмицама од појединих играча што је Каролини доносило човека више него што бисмо видели од Арбера.

Okay GOOD, they're out and every sports outlet in this country can stop telling me that i'm now a habs fan. Team got like 12 shots a game, always got scored on first, and somehow there was this narrative about what a magical team they have.
Carolina could still go 16-1, they just made the habs look like a junior team, and STILL they get disrespected and underrated. It's unreal man. The guys on overdrive (in anticipation of a Vegas/Carolina final) tried to make a point that if you were picking the best players in the series, the first 3-4 you'd pick would be Vegas players. They all nodded like yup, Marner, Eichel, Stone, rattling off names, and meanwhile it's like Jaccob Slavin still doesn't exist to some of the hockey world.
Again, this Hurricanes team could go 16-1 and win a cup here, and in future years when looking back on this team, you could tell people that no one talked about them the whole entire run. People were certain this montreal team was going to 12-shot their way to victory 4 times just because the media wanted them to win or something.
Not predicting Vegas goes down in 4 though, that was just a hypothetical haha but that's going to be a great series!! Hope the Canes win this but that's a great fanbase that deserves to feel really good about themselves right now so congratulations, hope my team an build a strong team like this.
they really need to change the format… a team like montreal shouldn't make it this far .. they're at their best a first round exit team – meanwhile teams like dallas, minnesota etc., are eliminated earlier.. its a bad look for the NHL

Montreal lost to a better team. Two seven game series,winning both deciding games on the road. Pretty rare,impressive and the hockey gods helped them. No Dobes and Montreal gets wiped out in round one. They simply had nothing left but are on the right track(not a Habs' fan,not a Carolina fan).

Nothing better than seeing Montreal go down in 4 straight after Montreal Hamas supporting fans thought it was "good Karma" to burn Jews in effigy while supporting "their team". This looks good on Mark Carney and his gang of Liberal Hamas propaganda repeaters. Could not be happier to see the terrorist backed bums from Montreal out. Hey Montreal… have another protest… burn more effigies… and "win" more Karma.
Except for Dobes, who played great btw, it was a sad sad ending to the season. Maybe McDavid will feel sorry for Montreal and go play with them to show them how to shoot the puck. There is always next year.

Rigged and scripted. Refs took full control after game 1. And in each game the shot recorder was on a mission. He counted at least 10 shots each game as blocks instead of shots. Demidov is a prime example in this game. He had at least 3 shots on goal but 2 of them were called blocks, then missed, and never corrected. Betting controls all sports.

Yet another year of a Canadian team, letting us down.
Habs came out again last night very tentatively. Had a hard time getting out of their end the entire first period. Why was Brendan Gallagher a healthy scratch throughout? I saw him in his Habs hoodie standing beside the bench last night. I honestly missed him! He is a player who is always after the puck and plays with such heart. Oh well, too late now. With the team being mostly 25 years of age and under, I think they could have used his experience. Suzuki and Caulfield were NOT the players I thought they’d be and they did not get the job done at all. Hutson is a bright star 🌟 and I wish him well! Disappointed in the supposed star players, I expected a lot more. I hope the Hurricanes win the Cup!
