    Before Yzerman can add to this roster he needs solve what’s likely a toxic locker room atmosphere…Falling apart like they have for the 3rd season now and the apathy they displayed needs to be dealt with.

    thanks for keeping us up to date on wings news and views through a rough patch in the team's history. i hope there are many changes to the bottom six forwards next year to send the right team message. Logan Sanley on the bottom pairing might cost too much, but a big guy that clears the crease would be great on the 3rd pair. Danielson fir EP would be a steal.

    i just don't see how this current core could even get close to a cup. i'd rather gamble trading Larkin/Cat for younger players than being a fringe playoff team for the next 4-5 years

    I see Tuch amd Mccann as Terrasanko and Compher more of the same old same old. Petterrson has an attitude problem anyone that watch that idiot in an interview can see that.

    If yzerman was going bring in all these old dudes why didn’t he do that 3 or 4 years ago.

    The NHL caught my attention as a kid because of the Wings-AVS beef, even though I hated him I wouldn't be a Wings fan today living in Quebec if it wasn't for Claude Lemieux.. I'd probably be yet another insufferable Habs fan.. so let bygones be bygones, RIP Claude

    To generate more trades the nhl should have two windows1st July to opening night and New Year’s Day to 31st of July this is further out in from playoffs so teams would need to gamble more

    If Yzerman signs all these old dudes I’m becoming a Montreal fan. Montreal has 12 players under 26 years old that play on a regular and most of them they developed themselves.

    Yzerman team was the 3rd oldest team last year and still didn’t the playoffs. Yzerman don’t know if he is coming or going. He is like a deer in the headlights.

    I personally believe we don’t have a toxic lockeroom. Larkin is one of the best captains in the league. It’s not up for debate. If you think he’s the problem, you have no idea what you’re talking about. What we do have is a happy go lucky lockeroom. A lot of guys who are too happy. This isn’t a damning issue. If anything it’s a really good thing. What we need are a couple guys who will drastically elevate the toughness of the lockeroom. Yes. They need to ‘hate to lose’ and they need depth scoring but they need an emotional edge more. Physicality and face to face dominance gives you that. Take a group of 5 guys who don’t fight, add 1 who does, and you immediately have 6 guys who are willing to fight. It’s not about being able to fight, but being 100% down for it. Being able to project that level of effectiveness is absolutely priceless in hockey.

    The most likely path to be a true competitor seems to be the soft rebuild and build around Raymond and seider. The other options seem way to unlikely. Each year Larkin loses value let's rip the bandaid off and just do it.
