The Jets should be trading away anything and everything except Morrissey, Samberg and Salomonsson for as many picks as they can get in this upcoming draft.
Barron in between Lambert and Rosen. That's your 2nd line.
I'm a Jets fan in Winnipeg. I am very supportive of the idea of trading Hellebuyuk for top-10 draft pick and young solid talent. I just don't think the current pipeline is sufficient to help the 1st line. We need to add meaningful youth who are difference makers.
The best thing for franchise is rebuild trade whoever you can
Morrissey for 2nd overall package
Hellebuyck for 9th overall package
And start new then as old teams like Vegas,Dallas,Edmonton,Colorado decline you should be done rebuilding and on the up. That means even have new GM whether it's Doan/Toews full new generation.
What will likely happen
Jets will trade 8th overall+a package of Yager,Barlow,Lambert,Friejs,Barron or Boumedienne for a 2C who's younger like McMicheal,Hayton,McTavish,Mercer,Wright,KentJohnson. They won't be in on old guys or guys who won't come here Miller,Zabinejad,Trochek,ORielly. Those mentioned guys are 25 and under so they can be here now and future. I'd do a Bjorck/Smits+Lambert for any of those guys.

If team finishes bottom 7 again I see them going full scorched earth 2027.

Not only should they keep the 8 oa pick but they should try to move up. I would be okay trading hellebuyck for younger players, picks and/or decent goalie from team like Sabres or Panthers. They need to try and draft someone like Bjorck, Lawrence or Rudolph to build for the future
