Certaines des choses que les Sabres perdront à Tuch, comme la vitesse, le but, la défense et le penalty, seront toutes deux remplacées par Helenius et Östlund. Tuch will walk and that's fine. Wish him luck but we need to move on! Konsta is still growing and he already is a phenom. The FINS can flat out play! Jarmo is a FIN and he will lessen the blow of losing Tuch. Great career ahead for him on special teams as well.

We should dump Zucker, Danforth, and Green way. To make room for Konsta, Ostlund, and the kid with the blood clot, and pay Tuch & Benson with the savings. Then we'll need to trade Norris before the 27-28 season to continue to afford Tuch and Benson & pay the others.
I like Ostlund and Helenius but they are far from a replacement for Tuch. At this point in time at least. They are super dumb if they let Tuch walk. If that is what's gonna happen then they should have traded him before the deadline.

Thinking Konsta will be the immediate solution at 1C is a pipe dream. Borderline ridiculous.
To bring up the quote from Pegula/Adams…it really does work for what we have now. "The answer is in the room". This is one season that the answer might already be in their pipeline.
I truly think the team will be worse next year without Tuch, even if his minutes are split up between Helenius, Benson, Ostlund, and even Doan getting a few more.
With that said, I do not want Tuch back at what he is rumored to be asking for. Actually even if he was asking for as little as $8m per year, I'd still think its a mistake.
The best way for this team to be competitive for the next 3-5 years is NOT paying an aging, 30+ year old winger top dollar. Use that money elsewhere.

3rd line is Helinus Oslund and Quinn.
4th line Kosak Carrick and Malenstein.

Kulich is your #1 Center. If not totally ready swap to 2C and Norris up.
Don’t dump Zucker, 30 goals there. Dump McLeod, not needed with all our Centers we have and his defense went away this year!
Would have liked to throw keifer Sherwood into this but obv he just got moved. But maybe move McLeod and another piece for a player like boldly due to the wilds center problems.
There's an intangible with Tuch that's tough to give up. He could get creative if he wants to stick around but he's expendable.

yes but tuch is 30 staring down a steep dropoff in production. a team paying 10 mil plus for 8 years is the definition of stupidity.

McLeod and Kesselring are 2 major trade possibilities this summer. I could see them paired with a 1st round draft pick to obtain another quality player.

If you are signing Tuch, you have to replace his PK time and get a veteran who could play in the top 6 if necessary.
