Tired of the whole Wings were in first in January. Those who paid attention realize Detroit was never as good as their record showed. Five on Five scoring was horrible all year. The PP made us look like a better team than we are. Once the PP faltered the Wings played closer to their true ability. Wings aren’t physical which showed down the stretch as teams dominated us physically. Even with a healthy Larkin this team is no where near a playoff caliber team. Teams like LVG and Carolina have better fourth lines than our second line
The thing people don't realize about judging a draft is that it's not a fair metric to ask how many starters from each class. Assuming that team gets better each year and the roster improves, it's a hell of a lot harder to expect to keep getting 4-5 starters each draft. Meaning this, how many players from the 2024 class everyone hates would have been starters for brads first year here when he was taking over from Bob Quinn. It's a lot harder to get starters as the roster builds

I’m disappointed that Steve didn’t come up with the idea to trade DL. I’ve been wanting this for a couple of years. If they can add to the team with out a trade then I look forward to the change. Something has to give.
They were in 1st in January, because Toronto shit the bed when they let Marner walk, and Florida was decimated by injuries. Don't give me that shit, they were where they were because of John Gibson, without John Gibson, this team doesn't trade for Faulk and we are drafting in the top 10. You can scream all you want, but you have to trade Larkin NOW and I MEAN RIGHT FUCKING NOW, because if Yzerman pouts and is petty like when he was forced to fire Lalonde, Larkin's trade value just goes down.

When he went out and signed so much abject mediocrity the year of the Bedard draft, bringing in not one mediocre player but several. Signing Copp, Perron, Husso, Maata, and Chairot set this franchise back a decade. We should have been drafting in the top 5 not the top 10, and we shouldn't have drafted the toughest high schooler Connor Bedard every played against.
Look at that draft, Fantilli, Will Smith, Michkov, Carlson, BEDARD all elite talent.
When Yzerman drafted Danielson and Kasper that was the end. Both are going to be wonderful 3rd and 4th line centers, in fact thats all Yzerman has drafted outside of Seider, Edvinnson, and Raymond. Baer may be nothing, ASP looked so unbelievable lost and MBN plays well in the AHL. BUT BUT BUT we have GENBORG and we have Plante. For fucks sake.
This team is a dumpster fire, this team isn't even Buffalo, this team is going nowhere.
It's time for fans to wake the fuck up, accept the fact that Yzerman had a shit ton of assets to work with in Tampa, and isn't gods gift to NHL manament.
