Chris I think georgiev is gonna become a bargain for us with our d I just feel it.
Rem…..driver 8….take a break.
I'm honestly very much OK with e rod taking #9. I was over Matt duchene before he even left the team and I'd trade him a million times over for sam girard and bo byram.
My favorite Avs of all-time are Peter Forsberg, Dan Hinote, and #9 Mike Ricci.
Most people don’t have the depth of understanding and will jump to ,”You’re victim shaming,” but I am not- even ONE bit. Please, both men and women, think about where you are going, and what you are doing. Please don’t put yourself in a place or situation in which your morals and principles could be compromised or infringed. There are not good people out there, folks. Unfortunately, jock culture promotes the kind of behavior that Canada Hockey seems to be facing.
I read the Athletic article about the whole rape allegations. It was sick and pathetic what happened. There are guys there that should never get a chance to play in the NHL. And women? Please stay away from these morons.
Good ol’ Connor McDavid.I’m not surprised to see him NOT take a stand on this topic. I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t have what I’d call deep understanding of anything other than hockey. He has the personality of paper or a rock.
Love the sticker idea! Also as for E-Rod picking #9, my first thought was, who is Sakic going to fleece with this one?
I grew up in the age ofd no goalie masks. Tells you how old I am !
I’m doing a Top Gun Maverick/Avs mash up mask for my personal collection. Both of my favorite things popped off this summer, this is rolling both of them together
So did Alex Georgiev picked his number, too?
Zhigalov = "ZH" = a consonant that is rarely pronounced in english but think about "meaSure" (the way you pronounce the "s" in that word and you get how to pronounce "Zh" in "Zhigalov".
No issues with anyone wearing Duchene’s number. No pain on my end and his leaving was the catalyst to the Avs being champs.
Hey guys! 👋 been a little while! 👏 👏 Had not been able to follow the early games. Was hoping to do so this year. Sounds like the Avs did fairly well! 👍
#9 is Mike Ricci, completely forgot duche 😂
Love Cale so much, great for him for speaking out, he is on a Canadian junior team that is currently under investigation, I'm 100% certain he's not involved.
I personally don't think you can do much to change the culture in hockey Canada. Don't get me wrong it needs to change but think about it, stars and atheletes attract different kinds of sports fans. Autographs, etc. They then form natural clicks or group following certain players which in turn gives out rewards to meet up with these stars and athletes for winning a prize in a group. This fan now gets to meet their player at a celebration, after a game,etc.etc. this person from the street gets to know their player up close and personal. Just one example of what is called life's decisions. A personal choice has to be made. With drugs and alcohol is involved it gets even chancier. Just don't think there is a whole lot to change without making it look too strict like a dictatorship and scaring players out of that culture. I don't know. Coming from a old center/nose tackle from high school that understands the" jock" culture and what it brings.
Totally agree with you guys and Cale Makar. Culure needs massive change but how can it be done.
Totally fine with Evan R. wearing number 9. It will help heal the horrible memories with Matt D. Very dark times that needs a desperate change. Almost stopped watching hockey because of that happening with Matt D.
Agreed Evan R. will probably have a descent season and get resigned to be able forget them traumatic times.
Great podcast! 👍
Favorites on the star wars NFL helmets?
THIS JUST IN; NATE THE GREAT SIGNED FOR ANOTHER 8 YEARS!!! 12.6 Million, making him the highest paid player in history!!!
Mac highest paid player in league now! Sure we will see something from you guys soon! Glad the deal is done!
Hey, boys! Out of curiosity, what happened to the player grades segment of the show? I noticed that you stopped doing those.
So glad y’all talked about the Hockey Canada situation. Glad that Cale spoke out and I was pleased to hear both you take a clear stance for needing to change was ignored as “hockey culture” and “boys being boys.”
This problem is a lot deeper and bigger than hockey Canada. These sexual assault scams to protect the people at the top are just the tip of the ice berg.
