Veleno played 1C at the end of the season and didn't look half bad. didn't see Suter or Ras there…. just sayin, think this is gonna be a big year for Joe

  2. Every time I see a lineup prediction it’s not what I would do. Not that there’s anything wrong with it but idk it’s just weird. I would have Vrana Larkin Perron and second Bert Copp Raymond I think the first line would work really well and 2nd works even better

  3. Scotty I feel ya on that fat nap Wednesday. That's my day off for the week so I'm with you. Sadly sometimes I sleep far more than I should and waste my one day off.

  4. No way you have erne playing above guys like Pontius or Berg. I'd much rather give the young dudes a chance over fucking Erne.

  5. I'm more shocked that Scott Bentley thinks Adam Ernie will even make the lineup still after the disastrous performance that he had last season😅.. I mean maybe you see something in him that us fans don't, but is going to be difficult for me to accept he will be in the starting lineup come the season opener.. I personally think he's going to be part of a package deal down the road for Stevie to flip.. I just really don't see his true value like that.. at best I feel he's a backup fourth liner with the roster we have now..
    just my opinion 🤷

  6. Regarding coaching inexperience: Scotty Bowman just left his consulting job in Chicago. What's the harm in Lalonde bringing him in a couple times to analyze and make suggestions?

  7. The problem i see with having a lot of previous nhl coaches on your coaching roster is that they usually didnt do a great job or else they would still be head coaches… So i wonder how valuable that experience really is .

  8. I think Erin is a extra or the trade him or let him go. I want to keep Smithy but him in when you need somemore Toughness. It nice to depth right now.

  9. I really want to see Berggren and Veleno up for a full season, but it’s going to be pretty tough to get into this lineup. I don’t think it’s worth either one of them playing on the fourth line. Maybe you see Zadina moved out if Berggren has a really good preseason. My lines are pretty much exactly what everyone else is saying

    Bert- Larkin- Raymond
    Vrana- copp – Perron
    Kubilik – suter – zadina
    Rasmussen – veleno – Sunny
    Maata – Seider
    Chariot – Hronek
    Oesterle – walman

Really can rotate anyone in that bottom d pair

  10. My line predictions:
    Bert-Larkin-Raymond
    Vrana-Copp-Zadina
    Perron-Veleno-Kubalik
    Ras-Suter-Sunqvuist
    Chiarot-Seider
    Edvinsson-Hronek
    Maata-Walman/Lindstrom
If Veleno impresses in preseason, he moves to 2C and I'd like to keep the chemistry of Zadina and Vrana. I rather have Edvinsson play 20+minutes on 1st line D AHL or SHL than 14minutes on 3rd D line NHL.

  11. Ras wasnt great at center last year. He played much better at wing, not sure center is the answer. Also, Danny was absolute horrible last year, so to even mention him in the same sentence as Chariot is a bad take.

  12. This comment comes from a St. Louis fan but jay helped coach my son a very long time ago he was great to work with and a guy who deserves a chance he has paid his dues to get to this point nothing but the best to him and I hate to do this go bluessssssssssssss

  13. I’m not high on Erne at all… seemed to take really bad penalties more consistently than he could score points last season.

  14. When is the last year we were this excited about the Wings in July? Great time to be a Red Wings fan!

  15. Who makes our best "grind line" is all I care about. Big PK and rag the other top lines.

  16. Rasmussen finished last year with confidence and swag. Not to mention he scored 50% of his point in Jr on the PP. 6'6 front of the net good hands and strong.

  17. i don’t know why we haven’t given up on Zadina or Rasmussen yet. I think both should be gone at the deadline. They’ve been here a while and they haven’t shown us squat.

  18. top line will be: Bert, Larkin and Raymon, 2nd line is going to be vrana, rasmussen and copp, 3rd line will be sunquist, veleno, zadina, and then the 4th line is whoever is left at the least to start the season lines may change up as players begin to score. the defense will be Seider and Maatta, Lindstrom and Chiarot and Hronek paired with Hagg and thats going to be very solid and wont need to be changed up at all

  19. To all hockey players over 60, we have a league in Redford on Saturday mornings Sept-April. Must be over 60. We still need a few guys. Contact me for details.
