Quest mereu în inima mea 💋 frumos, dragoste, alegere, cultural. Sunt unul dintrec cele mai bune concerte….
You're delusional! Trashville never had a chance to win in this series. Your star players were a no show. Your so called Norris trophy finalist was a joke.
Meh…I fully recommend Adam Vingan and Braden Gall's Gold Standard podcast. Their insight is hands on. This STH of 22 years has been here every step of the way from that first series vs DET in 2004 to now…it's time for 25 years of GMDP to come to an end. Long, long overdue. It's time for a new era…and sign FF9!!!! What…you're going to waste the rest of Josi's career hoping for something to come out of that exhausted pipeline? You already wasted the entire career of an elite netminder in Pekka. BTW….KINDA HARD FOR FF9 AND JOSI TO GENERATE OFFENSE WHEN SPENDING MOST OF THE TIME IN THEIR OWN ZONE.
To be fair, the Avalanche are an absolute freight train.
Well it kinda puts to rest the josi/Makar debate though. Josi drives the predators team as well as Makar does for Colorado, but one is just an absolute monster in all areas of the ice and the other is a one dimensional defenceman.
Makar is just way better than Josi. No debate anymore. Better team or not makar is insane… and some say best player in the LEAGUE
You have one good goal scorer in Matt Duchene. The rest are playmakers or grinders or whatever. Eeli Tolvanen should be that sniper but clearly he’s not there yet.
Makar had 28 goals… But he had a "pretty good season".
I'm not gonna give you guys any more crap. You've been pretty fair, especially as the series went on. Maybe if you don't blow that Arizona game,it would've gone better vs Calgary. Probably don't win the series, but probably don't get swept either.
But we have bigger fish to fry…if we don't win AT LEAST 1 more series,& probably 2…this season,& playoff run will still be considered a miserable failure. Unless we win the Cup,or at least the West-it cant really be considered even a partial success. I still think the Preds overachieved,on balance of the season-finishing ahead of more talented teams like Vancouver,WPG,& certainly Vegas,my opinion
On the Norris,& maybe surprising comments from an Av fan. I wouldve voted Makar 1st,cuz.I see every Av game,& realize how much he's improved defensively. And I don't think there's any doubt who the better overall defenseman is. Honestly,Toewes might be the most underrated dman in hockey. If he hadn't missed like 15 games or so-he was on around 65-70 point pace,& at times this season, was maybe more consistent defensively, than even Makar. But thats why I don't have a big issue if Josi wins. It's not how I'd vote, but many times the Norris simply goes to the highest scored, who happens to play defense.
And while it isnt the exact same-I have used a similar argument in support of Nicola Jokic to repeat as NBA MVP. Trying to be objective,I ask myself-"if you take these guys off their team, what's it look like? If you take Embied away,Philly isn't a title contender, but still probably a solid playoff team,my opinion. If you take Giannis away,Bucks are even better. Probably still a team that could win a round. But if you took Jokic off Nuggets this season-they aren't remotely close to the playoffs… probably lucky to win 25 games, with Barton or Morris,(no disrespect)-now as your best players. Jokics historic stats certainly are part of it-you have to have a certain level of statistical achievement,to even be considered. But to me,it's more a case of winning 48 games, without your #1,& #2 best teammates (Murray/MPJ)-makes the best case. Nugs won 48 games, with 35ish win talent.
Now NHL defenseman-is not the same as a star in the NBA. NBA star has far more direct impact, than #1 dman in NHL. But when I look at Colorado,I think we have a top 3 forward group in NHL. And when healthy,we have the best,& deepest blueline in the NHL. Ryan Murray,& Jack Johnson are basically 7th,& 8th healthy scratch dmen. Not many-if any-teams have 2 guys as experienced,or as capable as those 2-sitting in the stands,as healthy scratches. If you take away Makar, obviously we aren't the same ,& wouldn't have the best blueline anymore. But still would be very good. Still probably be a Cup contender, but probably not favorites. But a blue line of say Toewes-Girard, Byrum-Manson,& EJ-Jack Johnson-with Murray as #7 healthy scratch,(or however you deploy them)-that's still pretty damn good…maybe still top 5, certainly top 10. But take away Josi from Nashville-II really think that'd probably be 1 of 5 worst bluelines in hockey,& have very little offense.
That's why I'm fine if Josi wins….Makar has plenty of time-finishing 2nd back to back years,by age 23 is still damn impressive. Besides the Conn Smythe is the trophy you want. Regular season awards are great,& help enhance legacies, but playoff hardware is where legacies are built. I just think with 96 points…it's not like he had only 1 or 2 more points than Makar-I think it was 10. Granted,Makar had 3 fewer games,& I'd vote for him as the better all around player, but that's not how most voters vote the Norris,& I'm ok with it. Similar to when Drasaitil win the Hart,a few years back…with the worst deffensive analytics ever for MVP. I couldn't vote a guy like that 1st,but since he had like 15-20 or more points (or something like that)than the next closest guy,I get it. It's not like he had only 2 more points or something. I think they should factor in defense more, but they don't usually do that. And while points or stats are probably over emphasized, they still do have to be a big part of it. Not like we will ever see a defensive dman, with 30 points or something-win the Norris. And I agree,to leave Josi totally off your ballot is just crazy. The 96 points alone, should get you as a finalist at least. That's pretty amazing on a team that's pretty pedestrian to me,other than Saros,& a handful of individuals.
Don't feel bad. Most teams in the NHL had to start therapy because they were smoked by the Avs.. It's just the Avs year. Go Avs!!! 🍻
Stop bashing the Team y’all cheer for! Y’all are so negative towards them. Praise them before you bash them at least. Then give credit where credit is due! AVS smoke YALL! They are too good for Preds, plain and simple!
The predators are super cool. But it is probably time for a change in vision.
But of course, preds did run into a super nasty version of the avalanche.
I can see your Argument for Josi and the Norris, HOWEVER, Cale Makar's DEFENSIVE numbers were better and he will have a 100+ point season in the near future. Good for Josi who had a great year, but also Cale scored more Goals. Overall, Makar is a better Defensemen-both sides of the ice. Oh and you saw this in the playoffs. Easy choice for me. Go AVS!
Overplayed your goalie , and had no backup even at trade deadline when management didn’t have confidence in backup they did nothing to improve goaltending,
@ WATCH THIS VIDEO REALY COOL !!!
Cale Makar did have a historic season as far as Avalanche history goes. He ended up setting a couple of Avs records. Cale's defensive metrics were also extremely good this year…..
As an Avs fan, I gotta commend these two on their very balanced and reasonable analysis of this series and the Norris voting. question. Normally I come out of a playoff series just dispising the Avs' opponents, but I found Preds fans respectful and really knowledgable about hockey and the league.
