Awesome game…. remember it well. It was ironic that Lindy Ruff later became a coach for the STRS. You could tell even then he was still salty about the goal.
"Hull's foot was in the crease" dumb rule shouldn't have even been a thing.. Didn't interfere with him at all

Regardless of what everyone thinks they know; after plenty of review by the NHL; they concluded that Hull maintained possession of the puck following up on his initial shot when scoring, without interfering with the goaltender. The ruling states that if a player enters the crease after the puck while maintaining possession; the goal can be scored. It's simple lol..
