Subban as a Leaf would be interesting. He would solidify the defense and would play for hometown team.

I'm a Leaf fan and I fully expect it, he's all but said he wants to be a Leaf, he's come as close to saying it, without saying it as you can because he's always been under contract but yeah, I fully expect this to happen
subban is retiring to go join espn, his trade value was so low after the tdl that fitz literally came out and said that they had zero interest in resigning him in the offseason
I honestly didn't really think about it but I can see a potential signing for Subban to come home and play for the Leafs.
Now the biggest issue with this is that the team lacks cap space, is Subban willing to take a discount to come home?
Also the fit might not be great either. Subban is more of an offensive Dman, Leafs have a few already that fit that mold, Rielly, Sandin and Liljegren. Leafs already tried adding a right handed offensive dman with mediocre results with Barrie before. Leafs will need more of a defensive type dman in my opinion. He's also not the same player he once was and that could make Leafs management second guess signing him.
With saying that though I could see this happening. Subban loves the spot light like you said, I think he would look at the team and consider signing with his hometown.
Plus the Leafs have added tons of guys from the GTA from the last few years so it wouldn't surprise me if Toronto decides to go after him. Not to mention it was reported by TSN a few years ago that the Leafs did try to trade for him before he got sent to NJ.

PK had 22 points last year. Giordano at 38 had more. Subban doesn't add anything except for arrogance and flash. Huge distraction…Also his hairline is waaaaaaaay too close to his eyebrows. Proof of Darwin if there ever was.
Do a gio deal league min or close to it. Trade willie for prospects n draft picks and sign kadri. Trade kerfoot and holl too. Get cheaper n better rough n tough

I think it would be cool, but I just don't see the fit. Leafs need a top 4 RD that is big a physical. PK isn't that. If its 750k and he agrees to be 7th D sure. But I just don't see the fit. However I definitely think PK would be interested, I just don't know if Toronto would be interested back.

Even without Lyubushkin, the Leafs are set on defense and they still need the sixth spot for one of Sandin and Liljegren. You think Subban is a solution?!? If anything, the Leafs will be looking to be rid of Tavares, not bring in washed up players to appease him. League minimum is too much for him IMHO. LMAO.

If he considers a deal like Gio's recent deal .(800k per) then I'd consider PK. I'm sure he has a lot to offer but we need to have more of a defensive dman. Unless he sees himself as that guy and tells Kyle he wants this, I don't see PK as a Leaf. Ofcourse I want him as a Leaf! Just hard to see his style of play mesh well.
Personality I think it'd be the best fit. Guess we'll see what happens

Can’t see it , Pk is still good , not as he once once but he is not a min league contract player and that’s all the leafs cap would allow. He is from Toronto but everyone knows he is a Habs fan , that alone will make him sign anywhere else… Toronto doesn’t not need a defensive liability, they have enough
