Lots to consider with the draft just 3 weeks away. Will they trade picks or a player (we have a glut of wingers) to land a certain player? Will they move one of the wingers for an additional pick? Who will they select at #6? A lot depends on who the Flyers take. If Philly select Jiricek, that would leave the Jackets with a choice of Savoie who scored 90 points in 65 games this year (including12 power play goals) and is projected to be the next Patrick Kane) or Connor Geekie, who at 6 foot 5 is a very physically imposing center. There are several good picks in the top 15 or 20. I don't believe Jarmo knew he was going to trade Atkinson last year 24 hours before he did it. It wasn't until Johnson and Sillinger fell into his hands after the Jones trade that he felt he needed a player like Voracek to help bring the young players along. You could see a similar situation this year.
So same crap different year
