  1. would actually like to see Petruzelli get a shot as a backup with how he's done with the Marlies…

  2. Get it over with . Sign jack back 5yrs 5 mil and no more.Dont want Murray in net . Can't stop nothing and is hurt all the time. Just another marazek situation if they sign him. Here goes our draft picks again!!!.

  3. Campbell has a SV% of .895 in elimination games, and Freddy Andersen's career SV% in playoff series deciding games is .876….not inspiring numbers.

  4. Well if he is signed, I'll be hoping he gets back to the form when he was with Pittsburg. He is only 28, in goalie terms he is still a puppie.

  5. All I want DTS … is a goalie that can save the 2 goals that soup let in against Nick Paul. That's it. If we can get a goalie that can save the stupid goals.. we have a shot. Nothing against Campbell, but I dont have confidence in his game at the circle. Murray would be the bett choice on paper.

  6. In order to get a goalie we would all feel acceptable would require a core member going the other way. That would piss of the fan base and so will getting Murray or anyone not up to our standards

  7. You ever do the fantasy draft in NHL 22 and then you realize you forgot a goalie and it's the 14 round in the draft? This is what this situation reminds me of

  8. I tend to agree with this. No telling what the right answer is. Concerns and questions about basically all the options. Nothing that feels like a slam dunk. There's cost, injury, consistency, and other factors to calculate into it. I'd rather find a more reliable option than Murray. But I can see why they might consider Murray an option. There is actual logic there. There is just risk to it as well.

Regardless of Murray, I'm curious who else the Leafs are looking at. They can say what they want. But I doubt they aren't looking at other options like Samsonov, Comrie, etc to throw into a tandem situation.

  9. hellebuyck is the option. Go all in trade a lot, it's about time the team swings for the fences.

  10. it was said that Ottawa would only want to take on 20-30% salary retained on Murray. Puts him at like 4.5. Why would they want to give up Campbell at 5M and take on murray for 4.5 unless they get a third team involved and bring that down to 3 or less.

I dont think they will settle with one goalie. I see them going for a tandem. A tandem of Samsonov and Murray would look pretty good.

  11. I’ll do a video about the details of the trade that just broke for tomorrow morning. My initial impression is only getting back a 3rd and 7th with 25% retained is just not enough. Super underwhelming.

  12. Just saw on TSN….says Leafs got Murray along with send 3rd round in 2023 and 7th rounder in 2024…no mention of retention cap for Murray is 4,687,500….now go sign Samsonov for 3mil

  13. Im wondering if Dubas uses Campbell as an example.
Its been said Dubas has been way too soft on Negotiations and giving players what they want as long as they hold out long enough. I dont see Dubas breaking from his number for exactly that reason.
expecially when hes dealing with contracts with Sandin as well. And Matthews only a couple years away again. He needs these players to know theres a number we need you at , nobody is bigger then the team . if you want to walk then walk. we want players who want to be team players , maybe take a bit less money , in order to build a winning sustainable team. You cant have a sustainable long term team if everyone is constantly holding out for the most amunt of mney possible and gettinb it. Its like Tampa. Kucherov , Vasilevsky, could have EASILY got obver 10M. close to 11 M . but they took a pay cut to make sure the team stayed relevant. If matthews , marner and Tavares all took 9.5 M where would this team be… Or even 500k less then they took. I know matthews is worth what hes getting but at the time vasilevsky was worth more then 9.5. he EASILY could have been the highest priced goalie in the league. meaning he could EASILY could have got 11M

  14. I can’t believe that trade they made is awful, couldn’t they have just kept Mrazek for now at that cap hit? What is dubas thinking …

  15. Dubois just replaced marezk with similar goalie at similar money and got two draft picks for his efforts

  16. Apparently: LEAFS got Murray a 2023 3rd and 2024 7th, for future considerations and 25 percent retained. G.D-it!!!!!

  17. are leaf fans ready to fire kyle dubas yet? he said no to freddy andersen at 4-5 million, the same with campbell but matt murray who is still falling head first toward rock bottom 4.7 million for the next 2 years? no problem. dubas and shanahan need to go.

  18. Another terrible move. Trade Mrazek for cap space and waste it on an injury prone goalie with little game left. Oh boy. Another 1st rounder to off-load this guy in the near future and still Leafs fans will say 'well at least Dubas cleans up his mistakes' facepalm…

  19. Can't wait, I hope the oilers take Campbell, he's another Smith 🤣 leafs will make the playoffs but will be out on the 1st rd again🤣

  20. Ok follow me here.. how many Leafs moves look good on paper and blew up in our faces.. this doesn’t look good on paper so…. Stanley Cup

  21. I am going to guess that Dubas has something else up his sleeve. I'm completely at a loss as to how Matt Murray, who played on a talented Pittsburgh team but played himself out of town is going to somehow find his game. Honestly this move is hard to figure out.

  22. This is fucken brutal. Wtf is going on here. There has to be something else going on. Why would Dubas do this? He can’t be that dumb to make 2 major goalie mistakes 2 years in a row

  23. Tell me a goalie that's not injury prone lol not many out there that all get injured a lot it seems
