  1. The team needs a vision for next season and beyond, don’t worry the playoffs.

  2. If they pull a "St. Louis", I will never diss my home team again

  3. Let's be honest. Aside from great goaltending, the Canucks aren't built for success in the playoffs. They are, however, like the Leafs to some extent, built (with the right coach) for some regular season success. They have a lot of talented offensive players, which is great if you have a coach like Bruce who can harness that talent and get you into the playoffs (assuming he was here since October). Offence utilized correctly can get you a long way, but it doesn't in and of itself win championships. The Canucks still need some significant work on the back end, if they even make the playoffs. They were so behind the 8-ball until Bruce Boudreau arrived that it's still not a forgone conclusion, with or without these winning streaks. We should be focused on getting to the playoffs and make a few moves at the deadline to improve defensively without giving up draft picks or prospects (lol, what prospects?). That's it.

  4. Absolutely they can . They have a good core that was just mismanaged and poor morale and then the coaching change lit a fire .

  5. Myers was already playing his best season as a Canuck before the firing. Boudreau has taken that and put Myers playing the most minutes he's done in his entire CAREER and somehow it's made him look even better. The fact that Myers looked just as good without OEL was a huge, huge demonstration of what he can play like and it's really exciting to see after spending the last several years being extremely frustrated with him lol

  6. Before the coach change Vancouver blew a 3-1 lead and cost me my 400 dollar proline

  7. Sorry guys but the Canucks aint stand no chance in them playoffs. Not even the Leafs have won it since 67. So yeah.

  8. Well its not just players, Bummer is not coaching the worst PK in history. I mean he kept using that stupid passive defense box with slow players playing 2 minutes instead of having 8 different units PKing

  9. "Canucks lose first game of september. Do they still have a chance to make playoffs?" Media

  10. " IT'S A HARD NUCKS LIFE THAT NEEDS TO ROAR" But " THERE'S NO REASON THAT THIS LIFE CAN'T BE…..ELECTRIC!!!"

  11. Yes they can, in theory many teams right now can change their route and make it. would they? lower chance to it happening than "can they make it".

  12. Fact: If Boudreau can keep them at this pace through the spring they are your Cup Champions.

  13. Record before Bruce: 8-15-2, 63 GF, 81 GA (-18)
    Record since Bruce: 8-0-1, 26 GF, 14 GA (+12)

They also have the benefit of playing in the weakest division in the NHL. Flames and Ducks are both performing at unsustainable levels, while Edmonton is already starting to look more like their old selves. I would be surprised if this rejuvenated team misses the playoffs.

  14. "We know how fun they can be when all their potential is untapped" Yikes. As a broadcaster, you gotta know your idioms better.

  15. While I agree Boudreau has been significant, it really cannot be overstated how negative an environment Benning created especially following his disastrous off season two years ago. Even Miller and Horvat… carefully called him out. That's where I think the players just gave up. With both him and Green gone, it's brought in a sense of hopeful direction the team sorely lacked.
