Bruins players and the hockey culture just connects with the New England market better than basketball players do. And most importantly, the Bruins actually won.

The first round of the NHL playoffs is some of the best entertainment in sports.
Because people are starting to get bored of watching 130-126 score games, with a foul every 2 seconds and literally zero effort defense.
Don’t have the patience to watch the Celtics get punked and not adjust.
They’re fucking frustrating for a team that won 64 games. They drop back into the same bad habits whenever pressed. This has been the case for a few years now.

Yeah makes sense. One team is playing a top rival of theirs with an electric atmosphere. The other team is playing an 8 seed with bandwagon fair weather fans. Seems like an easy choice.

When I visited Boston and the Maine, I loved the fact that most of the TVs in the restaurant I was in was on the Bruins and only a few on the Celtics.
No one wants to see flopping and 3 pointers all night.

NBA playoffs being more well covered than the NHL playoffs will always not make sense to me. Because as far as entertainment value it’s not even close.
