Une fois les deux premiers choix établis, les équipes restantes se verront attribuer les numéros 3 à 16 en fonction de l’ordre inverse du classement final de la saison régulière. Les Sharks de San Jose, qui ont terminé derniers au classement de la LNH (19-54-9), auront les meilleures chances de remporter le premier choix, soit 18,5 pour cent. Les Blackhawks de Chicago, qui étaient 31es au classement (23-53-6), auront la deuxième meilleure cote à 13,5 pour cent, suivis des Ducks d’Anaheim (27-50-5) à 11,5 pour cent. Chicago a remporté le repêchage la saison dernière et a sélectionné le centre Connor Bedard avec le premier choix au repêchage 2023 de la LNH. Le joueur de 18 ans a mené toutes les recrues cette saison avec 61 points (22 buts, 39 passes) en 68 matchs. Celebrini fêtera ses 18 ans le 13 juin. Don’t be shocked if the Blackhawks some how win the lottery again. The NHL Draft Lottery is fixed worse than a Chicago election. Bettman, the Butt Goblin, loves Chicago and wants to speed their rebuild.
Everyone eligible for the draft should band together and refuse to sign/play for San Jose. Punish this absolute trash franchise for never doing anything. 😎

Even though Macklin Celebrini is from British Columbia, Canada, he was also raised in San Jose, California and was a member of the Jr. Sharks. This would not only be big for the Sharks to land a top prospect but, on a more personal level, a "come full circle" type of story (with Celebrini).

Calgary, the only team I really care about has never drafted higher than 4th overall when they drafted Sam Bennett (now in FLA) in 2014. They are projecting to be 9th overall in this draft …no lottery benefit. A lot of mock drafts have them taking Carter Yakemchuk, an RD from the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL. As long as it doesn't have that "rigged" feel and a certain, unnamed team gets it AGAIN. The chances Calgary gets the #1 pick sit at 5% and 64.4% that they stay at #9. That unnamed team has a 13.5% chance…and I desperately want them to fall down in the draft, even to 4th (41.7%) would make me happy enough. I would be happy if CGY takes Yakemchuk, but would be ecstatic if they took F Tij Iginla from the Kelowna Rockets…two generations of Iginla in the Flaming C.

I do think the Sharks have been punished by the hockey gods for all the breaks they got in the 2019 playoffs. I think their point has been made, and its time to let it go.
The Detroit Red Wings are due for the #1 overall pick. All the times they had the worst season record they have been screwed. Besides, the Red Wings are the only team that matters in the NHL.
maybe in future award #1 draft pick to 17th place team, then #2 draft pick to 18th place team, and on down the line to 32nd place team drafting 16th; teams will be rewarded for best performance outside playoffs, and for trying to make playoffs? then 17th pick goes to 16th place team, up to first place team getting 32nd pick; as is done currently for teams making playoffs?
